February 15, 201610 yr Dems Fundraise Off Scalia Death | The Weekly Standard Democrats are already fundraising off his death. SMH That headline was an interesting way of looking at that e-mail, which exclusively mentioned the Republican candidates' response to a question regarding whether the Senate should attempt to block or delay President Obama's nominee to the court. To me, it looks as though they're fundraising off the Republican willingness to turn the power of advise and consent into a veto of the president's appointment power... but that might just be me.
February 15, 201610 yr Up till the past few years I was part of wanting a solution but I see no way in sight. Now it appears I am going to be a part of the problem according to you because I am going to do exactly as I said above and urge others to do so. We are headed down a road that will destroy our country to the point that it will not recover if the current path its on is not changed. You can believe that or not, but does not change the truth thats there. Just makes you blind. If you want to know why we're heading down that road all you need to do is look in the mirror my man. People hell-bent on their way or the highway, unwilling to compromise regardless of the situation. What this country needs is someone who isn't going to promote either a liberal or conservative agenda. We need someone who will consider both sides of all issues. It's why we need to vote 3rd party now more than ever. If your casting a vote for Hillary, or Bernie, or Trump, or Cruz, etc. you're the blind one.

Give me a name and a reason.
February 15, 201610 yr I agree. Is your stance that only Republicans are promoting division? Not at all...both sides are painfully guilty of this. If a Republican were in office right now and the Democrats were calling for the SC nomination to be stalled for another year until we elect the next president, I would feel EXACTLY the same way as I do now that this is completely ridiculous and disruptive to the legislative process, and that its PARTISAN STINK is blatantly vulgar and disgraceful.
February 15, 201610 yr Then who would you have me vote for wise one? Give me a name and a reason. There's plenty of good quality candidates out there. If you're too lazy to do the research, I'm not helping you out. I'll give you a good starting point though....Gary Johnson.

I know who Gary Johnson is and while I do agree with him on several issues and disagree on to many to vote for him. Probably a good man though. How many % of the vote will he get?
February 15, 201610 yr I know who Gary Johnson is and while I do agree with him on several issues and disagree on to many to vote for him. Probably a good man though. How many % of the vote will he get? Probably not a lot. If you really want to cast a meaningful vote though, 3rd party is the way to go. Too many people think the way you do. "He won't get enough votes to matter." However, if everyone who considered a 3rd party candidate would actually vote for them, they'd garner enough to gain ballot access. That would be a game-changer. It would cause both major parties to take notice and take a real hard look at what their core platform is.

Just for clarification, I'm not talking solely about Gary Johnson here. Any 3rd party candidate. Most 3rd party candidates are too liberal for the right to support and too conservative for the left to get behind. That makes them the perfect candidates IMO.

I agree we need both sides to be fair. But I am not living in a dream world at this point of my life and know this is a pipe dream for myself at this point so I have to vote my heart. It really troubles me to see the country I love so much in this condition.
February 15, 201610 yr Won't matter if you vote in KY. Neither will your Hillary vote in Nov. some kind of system we have.
February 15, 201610 yr I will urge my "already"elected officials guys and there is a ton of others that feel the same way. Kentucky may not matter but the votes sure mattered in the Governors race didnt it? Hellcats you are a sore loser and I pray to God you are going to be another sore loser come the Presidents election. Like I said if any of you think our country is headed in the right direction you are nuts. Look at our country, we are so divided its unreal. Lines have been drawn by both sides. This is not going to end well for our country and that is a fact and its getting worse. What about this do you all not see or understand? Why do you think a guy like Trump has so much support? People are tired and will do whatever to change this. Not that much of a sore loser. I just find it absurd sometimes what we value in our state when it don't make a hill of beans. People will suffer because of The dismantling of KYNECT, but gay marriage never hurt anyone just a case of minding your own biscuits. Hey, trump is growing on me. He said he would have fired Bush, he's moderate Pro-choice, he's into destroying the Republican Party...heck the more he talks the more he sounds like a democrat!!

FWIW, JJ, I think it's the "lame-stream media" (to quote a genius:walk:) that makes us believe we are more divided than the past.

One of THOSE people just might touch you. Or say something to your kid. So there's that.
