The Republicans will not go along with any appointment by Obama. Its just that simple. To much to lose here. Wait and see. If they do they seal their fate to the voters. Just 5 seats needed to swing control to the democrat side with 24 contested races. We could very easily see a democratic senate and president this fall.

For the record, I am all for following the Constitution. It is the POTUS job to nominate SCOTUS Justices. Obama is the POTUS so he gets to nominate.

 

What I am pointing out is that the Lefties on here screaming about what McConnell has threatened to do has come from their side of the aisle in the past. Respecting the constitutional process means to approach it in a non partisan way and I don't see evidence that you, or your pals in Washington come near understanding or promoting that but rather are disgracefully doing the complete opposite.
