The facts as I see them are:

Had CCHS not fallen into, I think, a 13 point deficit in the beginning of the game, they may have come out on top in the end.

PC can shoot the 3 very well.

#13 for PC is like Lightening McQueen! Fast, fast, fast

PC did a great job of slowing down the pace which really hurt CCHS as they are definitely an uptempo type of team.

Is that enough love for PC or do I need to stroke some more?

Thanks for the love and very insightful comments!

When grown adults are yelling out intentionally during the opposing team's free throw attempts....generally speaking that's classless....

...and that probably accounts for the some of response.

Who does that and why do grown adults think that is acceptable ?

Students/student section - I have no problem.

Adults - a different story.

Any team......any given night........unbelievable season. I'm not sure God knows who'll win the 10th this year.

:lol2: You are so right. Think we will have some surprises in the district games and teams we thought would make it to region won't be there. Seems like this has happened for the last several years.

Congrats to PC and Coaching staff on a huge win.

Total lack of class @BirdBrain. Grown men and women hooting and hollering while a kid is shooting free throws. Leave that to the kids still in high school.

I wouldn't call it classless, that's kind of harsh... You have really passionate fans of the game in the stands, and just because you wouldn't or don't yell, hoot, and holler during a game in any situation doesn't give you the right to call someone classless. People pay to cheer their team on, it doesn't come with an age. Now if something negative was being shouted out I'm 100% with you.

I respectfully disagree. Mature adults cheer their team, and hoot and holler during the game. Students and immature/childish adults do so while the opposing team shoots free-throws. The mature adults I know show better sportsmanship.

I'm with you, there is a difference between yelling out negative things or even miss it. That is child's play. Box out, rebound, encouraging your team is part of the game.

So you are saying this is what they were doing while CC was shooting free throws?

Can't speak for everyone in the gym. Like I said before, I agree that if something yelled out in poor taste, from an adult, it would be wrong. We have to remember that it's someone's kid out there playing. But you have to be realistic, you're not going to hear crickets in any environment.

I don't think anyone is looking to hear crickets. I think the point is; there is a time for adults to be yelling... whether in poor taste or not... while the other team is shooting free throws, is not one of those times.

No problem with anyone cheering their team on...when you wait until a student athlete on the opposing team is shooting a free throw and EVERY time yell as he is in his shooting stroke, the same thing, while no one else is yelling, no student section, etc....it's classless.

I don't think it's harsh at all. What I think is harsh is that grown adults think that type of behavior is ok.

I'm willing to bet that most of the PC fans don't subscribe to this behavior...which explains why this particular group was sitting, generally speaking, by themselves, which made it even more obvious.

I am certainly not lumping the entire PC fan base into the minority of behavior. Great fans, passionate about their basketball and many, many friends of mine in that base. Good luck to them and enjoy the season. Unfortunate that one or two make it look bad.

Both are reserves.

This score is beyond surprising, even in this wacky season.

Reserves? So does that mean anybody that is not a starter is a"reserve"? Thought that was what the jv team is called... And didn't Measner start early in the year?

GREAT win by the Wildcats!!

If anyone ever hears me yelling "He's scared. He's shakin'. He knows he ain't gonna make it" when a kid is shooting a FT against CCH just come and punch me in the mouth.

By definition, yes...

Yes.
