I think you're being nice.

5 days doesn't seem like much.

Can schools require some kind of community service or something like that as punishment?

I did say I'd have been fine with 10 days or expulsion but I'm not torn up over just 5 days. Their nationwide public humiliation will last for awhile and there have been rumblings of one or two of them losing scholarships for college as a result.

Thought the same thing yesterday, when I watched people on twitter try to argue that Earth was flat, and not round.

People still believe that in 2016? Wow. :lol2:

Best*you've*ever*seen*class*of*2016 is what the shirts were meant to say. Those six girls got creative with their assigned letters/asterisks.

Still can't really comprehend getting that worked up about a word they use so frequently about each other.

You can't pick and choose when it's offensive.

The seniors had picture day and they all had shirts with letters on them. When making the picture in between each word there was an asterisk. After the school senior picture was taken the girls decided to make their own senior picture.

Thanks for the explanation.

To add another twist to this story, some kids like to be suspended because they don't have to go to school. That's how much value they put on their education.

Since the beginning of school this has been the case.

At some point in the process of meticulously creating their shirts how did one of these girls not think "this is a bad idea"?

"I'm just the second g. That can't be bad, can it?"

Seems extreme but people that clueless don't deserve scholarships.

Not only is it flat, but it was formed just over 6,000 years ago.

The world needs ditch diggers, too.

Without that second g, they would have just been promoting geography awareness.

Wow, that's almost unbelievable. But then again I work with kids that age, so I can believe almost anything now a days. So many kids think they can do whatever, and no consequences are expected, especially bad ones. I say 15 days ISS (in school suspension, don't send them home t hang out) with some sort of after school community service (clean up bathrooms, sweep floors, etc.) Hopefully that will teach them to think a little more clearly.

It was the rapper B.O.B , did you miss it? It was all over twitter. I don't know if he's serious or promoting his new mixtape. But it was crazy.
