Denver 20 New England 18 (AFC Championship)

Featured Replies

Gronk and Brady sure made it interesting at the end. Denver defense looked great like they have all year. Brady had a 56.4 passer rating and completed less than 50% of his passes. Is this his worst statistical game in the playoffs?

It may be but Brady has had some other pretty bad playoff games too.

Gronk is unreal. But the rest of that offense is just ok.

I still can't believe the touchdown he caught at the end. Watching it live I thought for sure he ran out of bounds first and tried to come back in to make the catch. However how he was able to stay in bounds and use his big body to still get in position to make the catch as unbelievable.

I'm not sure why he didn't jump on the earlier 4th down incomplete pass in the endzone, maybe it was due to whatever was ailing him that caused him to miss several plays, the defender was holding his jersey, but I wouldn't think that was enough to prevent him from getting off of the ground at all.

I think that it had much more to do with Talib holding his jersey on his left side and pushing off on him.

Was anybody surprise that New England didn't have their back help with protection? At half I was telling my buddies their going to do something to give Brady more time. I would have put a back on Ware side to chip or double that cat... Personally I'm glad they didn't I'm a big Colts fan and Manning is one of my heroes so I took Denver and the points and won enough to pay for direct tv purchase last month.

Brady had no shot. That o line is atrocious. Credit to the Denver D for revealing how bad it was.

Gost is as automatic as they make em. He picked the wrong time to have a glitch.

Belichick made a few questionable decisions. Should've kicked the FG early in the 4th.

Both defenses were great.

More my own personal beef than anything, but the narrative that Manning led the Broncos to the SB is sad. They got there because of the defense and in spite of the old lame duck under center.

Just disappointing end to a heck of a season. On to the next one.

It was a Denver team win and Manning was a part of it. The old lame duck looked pretty good scrambling for 10 yards while the Pats were chasing him. Even slid head first for that first down. :lol2: The old man played good enough to win, that's all that he needed to do.

If the Pats would have won the game, we would be hearing how Brady won the game and how great he is again.

Pats fired their OL coach.

Manning got a $2 million bonus for winning this game and if he plays 70% of the snaps in the Super Bowl, he gets another $2 million dollar bonus. Not bad for 2 weeks work.

I was curious, did the wording stipulate that he had to be the starter of the AFC Championship to get the incentive? Say Brock was the started and got the win, does Peyton still get paid?

The stipulation said he had to play 70% of the offensive snaps in the AFC Championship game also. So if Brock would have played most of the game, he wouldn't have got the bonus.
