akw4572 Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Looks like a more southerly route to miss us NKY folks.
TAC Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 @nWo The little TACster plays at Lee University In Cleveland, Tn. (just outside of Chattanooga). I was thinking about heading down for the 3:00 game. What are my odds of a delay free trip on Saturday morning from NKY down there and back the same day? I'm seeing this storm is tracking south of us and it looks like freezing rain maybe down that way? Thanks for the help.
nWo Posted January 20, 2016 Author Posted January 20, 2016 Looks like a more southerly route to miss us NKY folks. If you call 2-4" by Saturday missing NKY. :thumb: @nWo The little TACster plays at Lee University In Cleveland, Tn. (just outside of Chattanooga). I was thinking about heading down for the 3:00 game. Thanks for the help. Looks like it will be a snowy drive all the way to Cleveland, TN. They look to get around 1-2"
akw4572 Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 If you call 2-4" by Saturday missing NKY. :thumb: Well, if that starts Thursday night................might end up with another snow day on Friday! But no watch for us yet.
nWo Posted January 20, 2016 Author Posted January 20, 2016 Well, if that starts Thursday night................might end up with another snow day on Friday! But no watch for us yet. Yep it is supposed to start Thursday night. Don't worry if it doesn't come I'll see if I can steer the one for around next Wednesday your way. :thumb:
HammerTime Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 If you call 2-4" by Saturday missing NKY. :thumb: Possibility of a small shift that would cause that to change dramatically?
nWo Posted January 20, 2016 Author Posted January 20, 2016 Possibility of a small shift that would cause that to change dramatically? possible but this storm is growing and looks to be a very strong one.
doomer Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 possible but this storm is growing and looks to be a very strong one. So does this next wave go from being "secondary" to the "primary" with today's stuff being the "preliminary"?
nWo Posted January 20, 2016 Author Posted January 20, 2016 WKY has just been added to the Winter Storm Watch. I'm on my phone so I'll post the info when I get home.
nWo Posted January 20, 2016 Author Posted January 20, 2016 So does this next wave go from being "secondary" to the "primary" with today's stuff being the "preliminary"? In meterological terms, "Yep. ":thumb:
spindoc Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 So does this next wave go from being "secondary" to the "primary" with today's stuff being the "preliminary"? It means the pasture you could fish in earlier is gonna be a skating rink
TheDeuce Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 You've got folks saying 1-3" and you've got folks saying 8-14" for the same areas. Which is it? Winter Storm or not, there's a huge difference in those ranges and it's getting close to crunch time to make decisions for Friday.
HammerTime Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 KY weather center has some of us NKY folks right on the line to get 3-8 inches. He's typically pretty aggressive with his snow fall predictions.
