Going to Brew River Gastropub tonight. What's the scoop on the place?

Pretty good joint. Only issue is they do not offer cheapo beers only the craft stuff. Had the Muffaltta it was good. Wife said Salmon was just OK. Mac and cheese got rave reviews on the table as well. They make their own potato chips, thin vinegar and salty and their own ketchup.

Had a lousy meal Saturday evening at the double tree in Lawernceberg. Service was the only thing worse than the meal. Thought about the steak place at the casino but didn't want to smell of stale smoke the rest of the evening.

Yesterday started off lunch at Bakersfield and dinner at Beahle Street. Both get 2 thumbs up.

Wallet is a little thinner and waistline is a little thicker after the past week on the road followed by the weekend.

Monday Feeding Frenzy at the Clearwater Threshers minor league baseball game.

Every Monday home game during the season, hamburgers, cheese burgers, hot dogs, cheese steaks, pizza, popcorn, peanuts, and chips are all you can eat, all game long. They also feature a theme, for each of these events, and have restaurants come in and setup kiosk's for patrons to sample their offerings. All is included in the ticket price, $13 for a single game ticket or the cost is included in the season ticket package (comes out to $3.50).

Last night's theme was Pizza Fest.

Department took us out to lunch for winning some award. We went to ***Word Filter Violation - Edit Your Post******Word Filter Violation - Edit Your Post******Word Filter Violation - Edit Your Post******Word Filter Violation - Edit Your Post*** & Bull in Hyde Park. Went with the Tuscan Chicken Sandwich on a pretzel bun. Very good.

DQ chili cheese dog for a quick lunch before going to ref.

French Dip Sandwich and Ceasar Salad at TGIFridays.

Had dinner at Villa Bellini in Clearwater with my daughter.

I had NY Strip Gorgonzola (medium rare to perfection) with spinach salad, and double veggies.

Shorty had Pappardelle Marco (Pappardelle egg pasta with pancetta, onions, mixed mushrooms and peas in a white truffle oil) with arugula salad.

I drank a really nice William Hill Merlot. She had Andrea Bocelli Sangiovese (OK, but a little to dry for me.)

Did Knotty Pine last night. Tuesday is Crawfish night. Figured I needed a fix since there might only be a few weeks left. John, the owner, said they might get them until the end of May but it could be off and on.

They were outstanding last night. As big as I've ever had. Had oysters on the half shell for an app and they were the smallest I've ever had there. Still tasted good. Did red beans and rice with a couple Mandarin's up.

Buffet at the Indian Bistro on Beechmont Road for lunch.

Ate at Harry Buffalo's in Cleveland. It was good. Hubby had the cheese burger and waffle fries. Vinny Zollo had the Bison burger and fries. I had the cod fish dinner, fries and cole slaw. Cole slaw was not good. Waffle fries I couldn't eat where I had to tooth pulled on Tuesday. Fish was Awesome, I ordered another piece.

There is this really neat and huge grocery store in down town Cleveland that I had always wanted to go into. We did on our walk back to the hotel. It used to be a old bank. The deli and bakery was huge!!! Vinny got a Italian pastry and so did my hubby. I got a Swedish braided breakfast bread. It was loaded with nuts and cinnamon. It was so awesome. We plan to eat lunch there the next time we go to Cleveland and then eat supper at Michael Simon's new Bar-B Q restaurant. It just opened.

On the way home we ate at Roosters. It was good. I got the tenders extra crispy and hubby got wings. Side of seasoned wedge fries were very good.

Huge burger and fries from local bar.

Mi Camino in Maysville (daughter's request the past two weekends that she has come home). Camerones Camino, jumbo shrimp wrapped in bacon.

We ate at Cracker Barrel in Mt. Sterling last night. I had their Friday night special of fried Cod. It was awesome. 4 large pieces. My sides were greens and Cole slaw. So good.
