Donald Trump = George Wallace

IMO it is taking money from people who work to give to those who don't. It's called government welfare and encourages people to not work because they know the government will steal from the working class to give them their fair share.

Thx ref,

I really thought this was some kind of political buzz word.

Just googled it and yes I agree, im not interested in anymore of this than I already do.

I would arguess Democrats ruined the word liberal. They aren't actual liberals for the most part by the classical definition. Libertarians are actual liberals.

Democrats pinned the most obnoxious and damaging label of the past 25 years on themselves?

Can someone please explain what this means?

I'm not looking for a smart donkey answer so don't give one. I really have not followed the history and thoughts behind this.

Yes of course I understand what the words mean, I just don't get the who, what, where and why.

This is why you're hearing all this redistribution talk.

Robin Hood believed in redistribution of wealth.

Thanks Hellcats,

after watching the video I'm not sure I would be interested in taking a dime from the 1%, it's simply not mine to take no matter how rich the guy is.

I just struggle thinking that someone thinks their entitled to someone elses wealth because their poor.

I could understand asking them for a job, but not their money.

Interesting watch, thx again...

Trump's paying attention..."Donald Trump, front-runner in the GOP presidential candidate race, has plans to make the wealthy pay. He wants to eliminate tax breaks for the rich, raise taxes on the wealthy, and lower CEO pay."

I didn't know Robin Hood was from America or actually ever existed .

It would be illegal and anti American to limit what any company paid it's employee.

He was real, all right. As the song says, he and his merry band of socialists were

"... feared by the rich, loved by the good

Robin Hood, Robin Hood, Robin Hood"

Other famous redistributors of wealth include Teddy Roosevelt, Henry VIII and the current Pope.

I love that your main example is a fictional character who was placed in a system of Lords and serfs and comparing it to a free market and a free society.

The notion that the U.S. is a "free market" is a bigger myth than Robin Hood.

You forgot the tooth fairy.

Reagan, Bush I, Clinton, Bush II, and Obama have all contributed to the growth of income inequality.

^ They all pale compared to Obama.. His transfer was more massive than the others combined..
