January 6, 201610 yr Quote from Mitch Kupchak got me thinking, and having a spirited conversation over lunch. Has to be one of these four, right? * Magic * Kareem * Jerry West * Kobe I could make a hearty case for any of them, to be honest. Thoughts?
January 6, 201610 yr It would have to be Magic or Kareem. You can't have Kobe and not put Shaq. Three of Kobe's rings he played Scottie Pippen to Shaq.
January 6, 201610 yr I'd throw Elgin Baylor and Wilt Chamberlin into the mix but I would still go with Kareem in the end.

January 6, 201610 yr I wouldn't go that far, but I get the point you are making. As long as PP92 is on this board I go that far.
January 6, 201610 yr I don't go along with the "Kobe had Shaq" thinking. Every championship team has multiple stars. Kareem had Magic. Magic had Kareem. MJ had Scottie. To answer the question, yes it has to be one of the 4 listed. I could probably make a case for each which is another way of saying I can't pick 1.
January 6, 201610 yr Kareem is the greatest, but my dad says he didn't work hard enough on defense. And he says that lots of times, he didn't even run down court. And that he didn't really try, except during the playoffs.

January 6, 201610 yr Tell your dad to try dragging Lanier and Walton up and down the court for 48 minutes! I'll give you Lanier, but Walton was so stoned he didn't know if he was on the offensive or defensive end of the court. :lol2:
