January 5, 201610 yr Hardee's is best as far as chains go. If I'm up early on Sunday morning, I'll ride out to Botland to 150 QuikStop for some of their sausage biscuits. They make their own — Jake's Country Sausage. Jake's is also used next door at Mammy's Kitchen, and she does good biscuits as well.
January 5, 201610 yr Tudor's Biscuit World tops all breakfast I have had anywhere. I love their biscuits. Our's went out of business a couple of years ago and life has not been the same since. *sad face* Maybe the one in Ashland will relocate to your area and open up space for something else lol. 15 years ago I had a different opinion, but their current product is garbage, IMO.
January 5, 201610 yr Anybody tried Popeye's? I never have, just wondering if I should. They have a pretty good bisquit. I really wish we had a Popeye's in the Ashland area.

I haven't had one in a couple of years, and admittedly never ate one other than our local Tudor's except once in Yeager airport.
January 5, 201610 yr My choice for best bisquit goes to Red Lobster. Hands down the best biscuit I've ever had.

January 5, 201610 yr What happened? I haven't had one in a couple of years, and admittedly never ate one other than our local Tudor's except once in Yeager airport. Not sure what happened. If I had to guess probably the same thing that has happened to Giovanni's pizza. Franchise expansion has trumped the idea of a quality product. When I was a kid there was a really small Tudors a few blocks from the current one in Ashland that was only open in the morning and I don't think it even had a seating area inside. But that place had excellent bisquits and always had a line wrapped around the place and down the alleyway behind it. It was one of the originals I believe but closed for one reason or another. The current one opened about 3 years ago in a much larger building. They're open all day and offer breakfast, dinner, etc. I haven't bothered to try their burgers or anything yet (their local ads make it look like plastic food lol) but their bisquits are nothing like they used to be.

I've only tried it twice and was unimpressed both times. Maybe I was just unlucky lol. On the other hand, I've never had a bad bisquit from Red Lobster.
