Best biscuit?

Featured Replies

You are heading to work in the morning, you stop off at your go to place for a sausage, ham, whatever your favorite biscuit is. Where do you stop? Is it a chain place (i.e.. Hardees)...a mom and pop shop...a truck stop? So who has the best biscuit?

You won't find them around here, but back in north/central NC and southern VA there is a small chain called Biscuitville ( @Hatz knows what I'm talking about). man they make some good biscuits, and I should know I worked at one for a year while in high school. Around here, Hardees has by far the best biscuit in my opinion and my go to place when I get one.

If it's for a biscuit it's Chic-Fil-A chicken biscuit.

Hardees biscuits are the best around here. Dairy Queen in Somerset has surprisingly good biscuits as well.

There is a McDonalds on the Florida/Georgie line that has the best McDonalds biscuit that I've ever had...had a buttery taste that McD's biscuit normally don't have.

I've seen a Biscuitville somewhere and have wanted to try it.

Roses department store cafeteria for decades had the best in Somerset...but they closed the cafeteria several years ago.

Hardees is strong.

Biscuit World in West Virginia is good.

Gas station west of Maysville has a restaurant with a strong country ham biscuit.

In WV, I always liked Tudor's.

My favorite chain biscuit is Hardees.

MY favorite of local places is Richpond Market's Pork Tenderloin Biscuits. It's apparently "World Famous".

Stop next time you see one, you will be glad you did. You can watch them make the biscuits through the "biscuit making window". Use to be able to anyway, I assume you still can. You will probably have to be in NC or VA, I don't think they exist anywhere else that I am aware of.

Care to share where that might be found? Sounds like something I'd like to try.

Richpond Market is on Nashville Road (31-W) in BG at the intersection with South Warren Middle/High.

Boy I miss Hardee's. Make it a point to stop for a biscuit whenever I'm somewhere that has one.

Hardees biscuits and gravy. They do more business in Maysville before 9:00 AM than the rest of the day, I'm guessing.

Ahhh, know exactly where it is...just never stopped there. Going to have to now.

"The Squirrel", 344 Walnut St., downtown Cincinnati. I just had a goetta, egg and cheese biscuit this morning. Unbelievably tasty.
