See it was just me

I'll chalk it up to too much Novocaine.

Brossart beat Greenup, so 12-5.

Austin Crawford named to the AIT All-Tournament Team.

Glad to see Boyd get a win. I'm still trying to figure them out. Much better team than they have shown to this point.

Good seeing Kolton Williams stepping up tonight, 19 points and shot 5/8 from 3's. Williams and Hamilton shooting just under 50% from beyond the arc.

Bracken County still needs to work on free throws, shooting just 67% as a team.

The 16th is a tough place to win, especially in tournaments.

So, you feel you got jobbed? Just say it. No need for the subtleties.

I wasn't there and would never say referees cost you a game. My statement was based upon my experience whereby the 16th is typically more physical play than the 10 th. This is hard to adapt to if you're not used to that type of play. No malicious intent on my part.

Fouls

Bracken 33

Boyd 9

The Ashland Daily has the fouls at 17-8.

Was that just in the second half? I was just relaying info passes on to me.

No, for entire game.

I've been around the AIT many years and it's been my observation that they usually tone down the whistle happy 16th region refs because no one wants a FT shooting contest that they've travelled and housed kids and parents for this tourney. However, it's never been any question that Ashland gets a good whistle, namely from the silver fox Bob Kouns, which is why I asked if he was part of the stripes. As a matter of fact, I often hear the other regions complain when they get the 16th refs in post season because of the ticky tack nature of their officiating style. Frankly, I loved it when they sent the 9th down to do the 16th. Much preferred them allowing the kids to play.

Why I was wondering as well. In the few games I've watched him call (a handful), the silver one didn't hesitate to call a little hand-check, then give you the "you better not even look at me wrong or you're out of here" stare. Always thought that the 16th stripes called games close to the vest.

Went to Boyd stats and they show 21-32 for FT.

Brackens said 4-9

It is what it is.

I know an out of 16th region coach that has it put in the contract that a certain ref cannot work their game when his team comes to a 16th region gym.
