No doubt. As a scientist, I like things to make sense, but this categorization doesn't seem reasonable to me.

The purpose of the scheduling was to classify the drugs for their use/usefulness. Unless they changed it recently, medical marijuana is still Sched 1

What will pot heads talk about when it's finally legal?

We can debate how to use the additional tax revenue.

What will pot heads talk about when it's finally legal?

I'd probably talk about all the money we will be saving from policing and prosecuting around it.

What happens if the USAG starts enforcing Federal Drug Laws?

Do the states get tried on racketeering charges (RICO) for profiting from a criminal enterprise?

Who gets charged for states violating Federal Laws, the Governor?

Can the US Marshals seize the Governors Mansion in Colorado and other recreational marijuana states?

I know a few who has tried to overdose on pot

Hahahaha

Some can drive better when high

I never said that it was, just that more impaired drivers would be on the road...make of that what you like.

I don't think the numbers would change at all to be honest. Folks that are going to smoke and drive are already doing it now. Legalizing marijuana won't change that.

Honestly I don't see pot imparing drivers anywhere the rate alcohol does. People that have smoked pot can generally walk a straight line, no matter the amount they have smoked. Pot does not effect motor skills as much as alcohol does.

You can smoke one joint or 6 and your buzz isn't gonna change much, however if you drink a 6 pack as opposed to one beer, there will be a noticeable difference.

This is true.

That is probably an over all insignificant amount that is spent worrying about pot. Heroin, Meth, Oxy take precedent...when ever someone is charged with marijuana crimes, in most cases it's because they were found during an investigation into something else.

But if legalizing it leads to more people smoking it (like it has in Colorado) then it seems to reason more of them will be driving also.

Disagree even more so with the DEA . Those helicopters they fly over Appalachia aren't cheap.

Then you prosecute them for the DUI.

There is no credible argument for weed to be illegal while alcohol is legal.

This 100 times. That's the only argument I need.

Then you prosecute them for the DUI.

Agreed...just pointing out that with legalization there will be more of them on the road.

Breathalyzer for "Pot" is being tested in some locations now, as it get's more widespread and accepted it will be easier to catch "Stoned" drivers.

Those are National Guard helicopters and from what I've been told they use those flight hours as part of yearly training that would be needed any ways. But all they are burning extra is Fuel, National Guard and KSP already have helicopters. In the grand scheme fuel doesn't cost much, plus that is a 3 or 4 week focus each summer on pot...most of the rest of the time is spent on other things.
