January 4, 201610 yr Author The Saints are expected to give Payton permission to talk to other teams. They apparently want to trade him.
January 4, 201610 yr The 49ers have fired Jim Tomsula. The 49ers are hilarious. Tomsula probably isn't the right guy for the job, but that doesn't change the fact that they just canned a guy after a single season. With the offseason they had, what the hell was he going to do?

January 4, 201610 yr They never should have forced Harbaugh out. It will take them years to recover. This. They fired one hell of a coach.
January 4, 201610 yr I've watched every minute of every game. He is a terrible. I'm so happy that they sent him packing. I guess my point is, if you fire a guy after a single season, you need to shine the light on the idiot who hired him in the first place. THAT GUY should be gone too. And from what I understand, it's the same idiot who forced Harbaugh out, GM Trent Baalke. He's gotten half of what he deserved for what he did, a dumpster fire of a season. The second half should be a pink slip.

January 4, 201610 yr I always loved watching Ron Jeremy's facial expressions. I swear he has ape tendencies.
January 4, 201610 yr They apparently want to trade him. Kind of like the Gruden to Tampa Bay deal the Glazers made with Oakland?
January 4, 201610 yr Author This. They fired one hell of a coach. He was very whiney but he got the job done.
January 4, 201610 yr Author Kind of like the Gruden to Tampa Bay deal the Glazers made with Oakland? I think so. That's what I've heard anyway.
January 4, 201610 yr I don't think the GM even got to hire a coach. But what he did get to do, he did poorly... draft and free agency. And also caused a rift with the coaches by texting them advice during games last year... got spanked by the league for that. I didn't mind giving him an opportunity. It seemed he had earned it in other places. But he projected an air that he was smarter than everyone else once he arrived in Cleveland. He was over-confident in his own approach that included an opinion that said you can win in this league without trying to get good receivers on your team. He over-looked this position, considering it unimportant in a league that plays pitch and catch. When his approach to talent wasn't working, he didn't seem to want to change it. Finally, he took a guy in free agency who was with him when he was at KC--Bowe. Paid him 9 million dollars of guaranteed money and he caught 5 passes this year. Was on the non-injury inactive list in 5 or 7 games this season. When he was on the field he couldn't catch and couldn't get open. I could go on about his draft picks but suffice it to say that Farmer's talent-evaluation ability proved to be sub par.
