January 6, 201610 yr FYI, the reason Avery was suing the Manitowoc sheriff's office was because they charged him with a sexual assault he was later exonerated for by DNA evidence. They ignored possible evidence and leads that would exonerate him. Where's the Justice Department when you need them.
January 6, 201610 yr No way, no how, ever do I believe that one... More suspicious evidence was a bullet fragment found in his garage. It was located FOUR months after the original searches, which lasted 8 days btw. The bullet was fired from a gun that hung over Averys bed. It had the victims DNA on it. There was no other blood evidence found in the garage where they claim she was murdered. Zero. They even dug up the concrete floor and found nothing other than Averys DNA. I'm pretty sure the same LT. found that as well.
January 6, 201610 yr Where's the Justice Department when you need them. The whole thing was investigated by the Wisconsin attorney General office, and they found no evidence of a crime being committed.
January 6, 201610 yr The whole thing was investigated by the Wisconsin attorney General office, and they found no evidence of a crime being committed. The state and local authorities sometimes have a conflict of interest.
January 6, 201610 yr Unfortunately guru, a lot more evidence was located. Her bones and teeth were found in a fire pit outside his garage. The prosecution claims the bones were intertwined with tire that were burnt at the same time. The defense claims an open air fire couldn't have burnt the body and bones as much as it did. A statement from Stevens nephew was that Steven shackled her as he raped her. Steven did buy shackles and handcuffs and they were found in the fire as well. A river from her pants was located in the ashes also. His DNA (blood) was found in 6 places inside her car. Her blood was in the back. His DNA (not blood) was found under the hood latch. His nephew told police Steven unhooked the battery cable which would explain why his DNA was under the hood latch. Her phone and palm pilot were found burnt in his burn barrel.
January 6, 201610 yr The state and local authorities sometimes have a conflict of interest. I don't disagree. Wasn't saying I agreed with them just that it happened.
January 6, 201610 yr I don't disagree. Wasn't saying I agreed with them just that it happened. I know, I really appreciate you presenting the facts the best we know them. I have a very low tolerance for ANY corruption among police officers and prosecutors.
January 6, 201610 yr Another odd thing from the documentary. One of the sergeants for the Manitowoc county sheriff's office who had been deposed in the Avery lawsuit...at one point called dispatch and read the victims license plate number and asked the dispatcher to run it. She ran it and told him it came back to the missing female, and he asked if it was a 99 Toyota. The vehicle had not been located at that point. When the defense questioned him they asked him if he was looking at that plate when he ran it and why he asked if it came back to a 99 Toyota. He said he thought the dispatcher told him 99 Toyota. The defense then played the tape of him saying it and he looked shell shocked. It might be nothing but it was odd to see.

Yet, these two simpletons had the ability to fully clear a bedroom where she was raped and tortured, and a garage full of junk, of any DNA evidence. I know you are not taking a position here and I am not arguing with you, you are simply stating other facts. Edited January 6, 201610 yr by bugatti

I know you are not taking a position here and I am not arguing with you, you are simply stating other facts.. That's what makes everything so bizarre about this. Who else would have done it if it wasn't him (someone would have had to do an incredible job of framing him or there would have to be an unreal number of coincidences)? But then why is so much of the evidence and investigation to uncover it so fishy? Even if he's guilty, I can't help but think there's a lot more to it. Edited January 6, 201610 yr by bugatti
January 6, 201610 yr No way those 2 double digits purified a rape/murder scene with bleach. There was dust on the bed post that hadnt been startled what looked like in years. You are telling me if she was being raped that there wouldnt be any DNA on that bed...No blood from the slit throat? Ok lets go out to the garage that had thousands of items laying around...he shoots her in the head but no blood splatter anywhere, no DNA, etc. During the 8 days the cops were in the house searching they clearly had plenty of time to find a T-Shirt with his persperation on it and rub it on the vehicle hood latch, etc. Or they couldve taken a toothbrush, whatever. The body was burned somewhere other than the pit and the bones/phone/etc were placed there. I want to know why the Ex-Boyfriend was not even looked at as a suspect and why he deleted 2 voice messages from her voice mail. Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey are not sophisticated enough to pull off the murder the way they prosecuted it. The bottom line is the case shouldve been thrown out for multiple reasons. The cops for Manitowa County should have never been allowed on the property since they were recently deposed for the lawsuit. They had CLEAR motive to frame Steven Avery.....$36M reasons and a possible crumpling of the financial systems for the county. Jury Tampering is also now a huge topic since one of the Jurors recently came forward and said they were going with innocent but felt their safety was threatened if they didnt vote guilty. The other dismissed Juror also makes some good points about how the initial vote was 7 innocent, 3 guilty and 2 undecided. He leaves and all the sudden its unanimous guilty? Not to mention 2 of the jurors should have never been on the jury. One was the father of a deputy sherrif for that county and the other was husband to a lady who worked for the county. More motivation to put him away as their loved ones stood to possibly lose their jobs if the lawsuit was to be paid out.
January 7, 201610 yr To be fair, Lenk and Coulburn were not being sued personally. The sheriff's office was, right?
January 7, 201610 yr Also it wasn't like the dismissed juror left and all of a sudden it was a guilty verdict. They deliberated for 20+ hours, I'm pretty sure.
