Netflix "Making a Murderer" Series

Not done with it yet but so far I feel the police framed a potentially guilty man. I see serious problems with the way the police investigated and with the justice system in this case.

The police framed a guilty man. That's the best way to say it. And Dasseys original attorney should be disbarred and banned from law in all 50 states.

It appears that way but who knows.

According to reddit, Steven Avery (probably his new fancy lawyer) has filed a motion for him to be released on bond, possibly because they think they have new evidence.

Chicago lawyer Kathleen Zellner on Friday, January 8th announced she is teaming up with the Midwest Innocence Project. The Law Firm of Kathleen T. Zellner and Associates has assumed representation of Avery in all of his pending criminal matters.

I believe Zellner has exonerated at least two other people wrongfully convicted of murder (or serious crimes).

Thanks. That's interesting. I wonder if they plan on testing the blood sample again.

She has exonerated 17 men.

Apparently even got the real killer to confess in one case.

She tweeted that she will not stop until Avery is released.

I started watching this based on this thread. It's pretty good. I got to the part where the "investigator" for the defense attorney of the kid was browbeating the kid to sign the "i am sorry" form. I lost my mind at that point. And then they let the kid be interviewed, for the second time, without the defense attorney being present. Just off the charts malpractice. Like, I understand why those people at Jamestown drank the kool aid. It is capable of being comprehended. But I can't for the life of me understand this attorney and his investigator. Does it get worse? I watched up to that point and turned it off. If this attorney gets worse, I am not sure I can watch it.

I think that's the worst from him.

I'm not convinced Avery didn't do it after reading a lot of things left out of the series. I still don't know if I'm convinced he did it either.

I am convinced the police handled this case wrong, regardless if they actually did plant any evidence.

I honestly don't know how Dassey's original conviction isn't thrown out regardless if he did it. His first lawyers documented behavior to go along with allowing the jailhouse phone call into evidence blows me away.

Whether Steve Avery killed her or not, he didn't get a fair trial. I think we can all agree on that.
