January 1, 201610 yr Again I'm not sure if the guy is guilty or not without seeing the entire trial. Even then I'm not sure I'd be certain. Me either. Just lots of question marks.
January 2, 201610 yr His girlfriend was in jail and had been for a little while, maybe he got tired of waiting and decided to make a move for this girl. That could be a motive... 36 mil will buy a lot of companionship. I'm not saying he didn't hit on her or creep her out, but he had more motivation to stay on the up and up than he did to kill the girl. I don't see how he was convicted with the obvious planting of evidence.
January 2, 201610 yr Kind of off topic, but I just don't understand the whole prison groupies. That is just weird to me.

I don't see how he was convicted with the obvious planting of evidence. Definitely some suspicious circumstances surrounding some some of the evidence. But what about his DNA being under the hood latch? It was not blood, so how would they plant that? Also, what about the bones? Do you think someone else killed her, then burned her the same night he had a bon fire and then snuck her bones into the ashes? I'm not certain of anything really other than... If Steve Avery killed her I don't think it happened how Brendan Dasseu says it happened or how the prosecution says it happened. He did not assault her in that trailer without leaving some evidence and he didn't shoot her in the garage without leaving some evidence.
January 3, 201610 yr One of the reporters there for the trial says that Teresas camera and palm pilot were found in Steven Averys burn barrel. I also read that the documentary doesn't accurately portray all of Brendans interview with police. Apparently he wasn't fed all of the answers and did actually give a detailed account of what happened. He also stated he helped Steven move the RAV 4 and that Steven disconnected the battery, that's how they found his DNA under the hood latch.

There were bones in the barrel which made zero sense. If it the same barrel they featured on the show, it was actually located closer to the Dassey/Tydach house. The access the MSD had to the place, and the proclivity they showed for planting evidence I can't see how you could accept any physical evidence in this trial. Blood was in question, bullet in question, bones in question, and key was basically accepted as planted.

Brendans statement is fairly detailed at times. You can look it up on YouTube. They don't feed him everything. He definitely lies, but I think there's some truth to it. Like I said he didn't get fed everything. They fed him the fact that she was shot in the head. I agree that any evidence discovered by Manitowoc county police is suspicious. The bones in the barrel is odd, but it's possible they saw them in the pit and tried to burn them more in the barrel...idk The fact that her palm pilot etc were in the barrel isn't suspicious to you? I don't consider the key as evidence, simply because it's to suspicious as to when it was discovered and who found it. However... She was last seen on his property. He called her work several times requesting her. He made the appointment under his sister's name. He called her three times that day, twice with his number blocked. Her car wasfound on his property, covered, with the battery disconnected. His DNA (blood) was found in six places in her vehicle. (Brendan told police Steven cut his finger and was bleeding) Her blood was found in the back of the RAV 4. (Brendan told police that Steven put her car in the garage and her dead body in the back of the RAV 4, which would explain the blood)... His DNA (not blood) was found under the hood latch. A bullet fragment with her DNA was found in the garage. The bullet was fired from a gun that hangs above Stevens bed. Her bones were found in the burn pit behind his house. Her belongings were found in the burn barrel. I'm not convinced he's innocent. I do think based on the show there reasonable doubt, but I didn't see the entire trial. That's a lot of framing, if he was framed.
January 3, 201610 yr I should add that Brendan also told police that Steven planned on crushing the car.
January 3, 201610 yr 1. I can't see how Brendan's testimony can be valued at all. 2. Bullets were found in the garage in March. 5 months after the 8 day investigation of the Avery property. 11 shell casings, 1 bullet with DNA on it and zero blood over that extremely messy garage. 3. Again if these officers will plant a key what else will they plant? 4. Dude was creepy and the victim was probably creeped out by him, but weird and creepy doesn't make you a murderer.

I don't think Brendans statement is entirely made up. That's a stretch. He made several statements on his own without police giving him the answers and his excuse is he made it up, then that he got it from a book... I don't think it happened exactly as he said or how the prosecution said necessarily, and again, I have doubts as well... Another thing I noticed from his interview is that the police recovered pants of his from his house that had bleach on them and he told them it came from when he was cleaning the garage with Steven.
January 3, 201610 yr I would like to know more about where Scott Tadysch and Bobby Dassey went hunting. I think one if their stories was inconsistent and it was odd how they pointed out that they saw each other.
January 3, 201610 yr I sometimes wonder if Brendan Dassey did some of this stuff with those two and not his uncle. That garage was not a murder site.
January 4, 201610 yr Whew...that was rough. I'm not convinced Avery and Dassey didn't murder her. But man did the authorities really screw up this case. So much went wrong here. The most egregious offense is Lem Kachowsky (sp?). He should never be allowed to practice law again. Unbelievable to me that Dassey didn't get another trial. The sad thing is, we will probably never know the truth. As @bugatti alluded to, this is why the death penalty doesn't work.
January 4, 201610 yr It also blows my mind that Manitowac county sheriffs were allowed to be so involved with the case. Unfathomable.
