I have heard that Beth Vice Barrier and her husband Chris will be leaving the girls team and taking over the boys. At least that's the word here in Mt. Sterling. I did see Chris helping out on the bench this summer so it might be true.

Talked to the Superintendent at Menifee Co earlier in the summer at a golf outing...he didn't think that Beth was even going to coach the girls...she just had a baby...but with the boys coach leaving , She may decide to take it.

Wow, a female boys head coach....in Kentucky. Has this ever happened before.

I've seen Beth coach. She is definitely up to the task. Has her husband coached before?

Word out of Sandy Hook is that Assisant Coach Joe Markwell has thrown his name into the hat for this job. Also Elliott Head Coach Rick Mays is in Flordia exploring options at a Volusia Co. Junior College.

Rick Mays is looking for a new coach for Menifee in Florida?????What????

 Just kidding. Although, with their track record for coaches, they may have to go that far. I just kinda doubt Mr. Mays will have anything to do with it.

There is women who coach boys basketball, in High school don't know about college but probably is somewhere. What about Coach Combs assistant?

Menifee County should be able to win games this season. Are there any other names being thrown around for this job?

From what I understand, Beth and Chris Barrier will be the new coaches.

I wish them lots o luck!

What seems to be the problem keeping a coach in Menifee? Is there any talent there? Any size? Anyone who can shoot?

Plenty of shooting, most from the mouths of the parents however.

Ouch! Isn't this the case at most high schools!?

Menifee Co. just doesn't have the resources. Small community with not much ofa draw for people to move in to the county. They are going to struggle for a while.

As in Rick Mays moving to Florida to coach at a Junior College?
