I look for Mich St to upset Bama in a low scoring game. They have a good run defense and the Tide's passing game leaves a lot to be desired, plus Alabama has Kiffen calling the plays.

Alabama's pass defense is not that great again this year, so I believe that Mich. St. will be able to throw the ball effectively enough to loosen up the Bama run defense and have a little success running the ball as well. I am really impressed with State's freshman RB. How did OSU let him get away?

I believe the key to this game is Burbrige and Cook being able to stretch the field in order for MSU to run the ball. If they can do that, they have a very good chance. Henry will run the ball 45 times so he will rack up yards, but if they limit the big 15+ yard runs, I think MSU wins. Still don't have my prediction yet. But I'm leaning MSU simply based on QB play.

Urban's not interested in guys that don't want to come to Ohio State. He revoked the offer from the number 1 running back in the country in order to give it to Elliott because he was Ohio State all the way. Ohio State has 2 good running backs behind Elliott this year and 2 more coming in this year. Urban simply doesn't waste his time with non-committals even if they are a great talent.

I'm looking forward to the wide-open modern-day offenses run by the Big 10. Hopefully, the SEC teams can learn something.

A hear a hint of sarcasm. But I can't understand where the sarcasm is rooted. If you're questioning whether Michigan State runs a more dynamic offense than Alabama, then you haven't watched much of either team recently.

I watched two B10 teams playing in the conference championship with the score being 6-6 starting the 4th quarter. This was AFTER I heard how much better the offenses were in the conference than the stodgy 1950s offense the SEC runs.

Looking forward to seeing the future of the SEC offenses.

Where is a dynamic offense in the SEC? Ole Miss is the only team that stretches the field and they turn it over way to much to actually make it matter. Everyone else just feeds off the run. I don't think the offenses in the big 10 are drastically different though. Ohio State stretched the field a lot more last year than this year (which was probably there detriment) but Michigan State has the ability to throw on any team if they have to. Can Alabama throw on any team if Henry is getting stopped? I think that's the key to the game. MSU can stop the run and will be the best run defense Bama has played all year. Coker is going to have to make plays in the passing game consistently for them to win. I don't trust him and I certainly don't think Nick Saban trusts him otherwise they wouldn't have ran Henry 90 times in the last 2 games. Saban knows that Henry going off is there only chance and he has to hope he goes on an Elliott type run to end the season if they hope to win. Neither conference is built on offense though. They are both defense first conferences. I think these 2 teams are mirror images of each other both offensively and defensively.

Looking at it the other way...Mich St got the best draw for them also. Mich St IMO doesn't match up well with Clemson or OU...Bama wasn't the only one that was happy about this match-up...Michigan St has to be pretty pumped also.

100% agree.

I'll take Alabama by 3.

But that's not what we've read on here.

I am picking Bama but wouldn't be shocked at all if MSU gets them. Sparty has an excellent defense as does the Tide (both - two best defensive teams in America, imo)

I think that Henry will be the difference.

A very physical pounding type of game with Alabama coming out by a TD and FG.

I've had a gut feeling the past couple days Sparty is going to win it all for some reason. Haven't had that feeling at all this season with them. Too much goofy stuff has gone right for them this year and I've concluded they are a team of destiny. My gut = generally wrong.

After much thought I've come to a conclusion. Derrick Henry is going to get his. He will rush for probably around 150 on about 35 carries. He won't carry 40-45 times like he has the last couple of games simply because that is what everyone expects him to do. But with that said, I have zero confidence in Jake Coker to be able to beat Michigan State in the passing game. I think the combo of Cook to Burbridge, will be the difference. I think MSU jumps out to an early lead, but it stays close the whole game. MSU 28 Bama 24.
