I think Bama would much rather play MSU than Oklahoma right now. MSU is a good team but they could easily have 3 or 4 losses right now...

I think MSU can win, but I'll take Bama. Best team in the country but I'm not a fan of the QB.

Looking at it the other way...Mich St got the best draw for them also. Mich St IMO doesn't match up well with Clemson or OU...Bama wasn't the only one that was happy about this match-up...Michigan St has to be pretty pumped also.

Mich State is very similar to Ohio State last year as far as defensively and up front on offense. But I fear they don't have the playmakers Ohio State did last year, outside of Burbrige, to stretch the defense. But then again Connor Cook> Jake Coker. I'll make a prediction sometime closer to the game.

I think they match up with Clemson. I think Mich State is bigger and faster than Clemson at basically every position except QB. OU has the perfect type offense to beat Bama and Mich St. I'm not trying to be a conspiracy theorist here, but I think the committee wants Oklahoma and Bama in the champ game.

Take the under. And don't think for a minute that Sparty can't win a 10-7 game over 'Bama.

I think you underestimated Clemson last night and still are. They have more speed than you want to give them credit for, UNC did as well.

 

One reason that Oklahoma may have been sent to Florida is that an Oklahoma game in Dallas is practically a home game for them...I don't know if that played into the decision or if they just think Mich St is better than Oklahoma.

 

After the beat down Clemson put on Oklahoma last year, maybe the committee wanted to see that rematch.

I was being pretty sarcastic when I said that haha. I think if the committee cared about location of the games, they would have had Ohio State play Oregon in the Rose Bowl last year due to the history of the Pac 12/ B1G tradition there. I don't think they care as much about the locations as they do the match ups. Like last year you couldn't tell me that the committee wasn't thrilled at the thought of Ohio State (who has arguably the most obnoxious fan base in football, of which I am one) versus the South last year.
