ACC Championship Final.

Rough call on the onside kick. No excuse for that call.

ACC officiating is consistent.

Was definitely a bad call.

I didn't even watch the end of the game, I assumed it was over. But wow, that was a bad call. Probably wouldn't have mattered, but still. Crazier things have happened.

The ACC released a statement about the botched call. They claim an official "saw" a player break the plane. Video evidence shows that no player crossed the line.

You think it probably wouldn't have mattered that UNC got the ball at midfield with over a minute left and all three timeouts?

It all roughly translates to, "Look, we need Clemson to win, OK? The conference needs this."

Yes, the botched offsides call was bad call, no doubt abot it. That's a judgement call and everyone moving fast ... he missed it. Having said that I, for one like the human element of the game. Mistakes happen, it's sad that it happened at that time.

Aside from that I'm personally am glad to see Dabo Sweeny get the win. Sweeny is all about his players, an excellent football coach and imo a great representative of the game. Also, the man is a Christian, is not afraid to say it. Like M. Richt, too me that's a leader and a man you keep around.

As for the game itself I thought that Clemson was clearly the better football team. Basically what UNC got, Clemson mental mistakes put them in position to get it ... penalties, that punter that took it upon himself to run a fake punt, etc. D. Watson is the best qb in ncaa football, jmo. Clemson defense lost practically everyone last season and came right back with another very good D unit. I think this game was the most scored on them this season, not sure. A couple of UNC's td's came directly from Clemson offense / special teams mistakes.

I will enjoy watching the playoffs. I wish my Buckeyes were in it, they are good enough but have absolutely no one to blame or point at but themselves....period.

Overall great games today.

Good job Clemson.

I bet Dabo was dancing after this W!

Hard to not at least think that the call was influenced by the need for Clemson to win. It's sad to think like that.

It was a bad call but the flag was out before anyone even touched the ball and definitely before it was recovered. I guess they could have thrown it just to cover themselves but I'll chalk it up as a bad call. It's a shame they didn't get to play it out.

Isn't that every bad call, the official "saw" something that didn't happen?

But there is no excuse. Two referees at at the line of scrimmage looking straight across. If you miss that as bad as they did, you don't need to be refereeing. Not a judgement call at all.

Touch before ten I could see, but not being offsides. That's pathetic.
