December 7, 201510 yr While there are great moments on Alive II, it completely pales in comparison to the greatness of Alive. "Shock Me," admittedly, is a high point. And I go out of my way to spin Ace's solo record for just one song as much as possible. "Back In The NY Groove" is just so darned good. The opening track on Alive II Detroit rock city is huge same can be said for God of thunder...

December 10, 201510 yr KISS ALIVE I and II. Kiss set the standard for how live recordings would be done for everyone else in the industry.... Great live performances that were then blended with "enhanced" and even "re-recorded" studio tracks that were then mixed together to improve the sound quality. Kiss understood that at a live performance, people "listen with their eyes" but on recordings... They're gonna use ears only and it better be near perfect... Ground-breaking band in several ways.

December 10, 201510 yr Once upon a time, I bought a Pearl Jam CD at Phil's Records for $50. It was a concert in Berlin. Believe it was called "Live At The Wall" or something like that. Great stuff.

December 27, 201510 yr I always liked "Live Killers" by Queen. Caught a lot of the raw feeling of their music. Chicago Live at Carnegie Hall - the CD adaptation. When released on CD, they added a 4th disc that had better versions of their original ones on the Live album. Really showed off Terry Kath well in the extra CD. Back when Chicago was still Chicago. Liked the CSNY 1974 release a year or two ago. Thought it was better produced and sounded better than the 1971 4 Way Street live album. And I can't believe that Jim Schue did not mention: Eagles Live 1980 Hell Freezes Over 1994 Eagles Millenium Concert from 2000 (From the Boxed Set) Really disappointed in Jim. :lol2: :thumb:
December 27, 201510 yr I've been looking for a decent copy of this. I have it on CD. Vinyl would probably be a hard find, can't imagine anyone would want to part with it.
