I'd say BW and NCC aren't that similar this year. If I had to put a number on it Id say they are at least 17 points different.

I think Beechwood handled NCC in a pretty convincing fashion, but, it seems NCC is always a tough team when it plays at state.. Not sure the Tigers would beat them that bad in a state title game.. For some reason, that game gets the juices flowing and teams often play on emotion and over their normal heads and NCC is one that seems to thrive in the spotlight..

I totally agree... People are saying its a lock... It is never a lock until we hear the final buzzer and the score is in our favor... For all you know NCC didnt care if they lost to BW and didnt want to show everything. Here is why I say that. Last year when Graves Co went to the state championship... Guess what game was studied the most by Pulaski Co... The Mayfield Graves game.... Why??? because Mayfield dominated Crider and shut down all scoring angles. Just a valid point... It is not like NCC lost other games to just no name little schools... They lost to Conner and Scott BW and I forget the other 2 but they play a tough schedule. Its not like we are playing Fairview who rushed for however many yards it was against a week schedule... Heck a good pee wee team from the school of the blind could be carter east and carter west... NCC has played some great teams... They are not to be overlooked... In fact I watched Danville play this year... They were fast hit hard had great athletes and was in shock when I heard the final score.... Mayfield will not under estimate this game... They will prepare just as if they are playing top seeded SEC team for a National Championship. Coach Dew is for sure very aware of the capabilities of what could happen. He will take control of the defense and they will be the deciding factor in the ballgame just as they were last couple weeks...

Mayfield by 28. NCC shouldn't even be playing in this game. I dont like Danville AT ALL but they got robbed.

Man you just don't quit. Guess what, LCA lost to Danville. Danville lost to NCC, therefore NCC is playing in this game. Let it go, grow up and quit whining.

Yes and no. NewCath shot themselves in the foot with turnovers. The last turnover came when they were down by 10 with 3 minutes to go and Slusher returned the fumble to the 2 yard line and they scored a couple plays later. 10 points is about the difference. Once NewCath doubled Slusher, Beechwood was forced to sustain drives, and the game was tighter. Best of 10, I would say 7 to 3 or 6 to 4 in Beechwood's favor.

 

That game really is one of those games every year. NewCath lost to Beechwood in 2005, 2006, and 2010. They wound up state champs each time. Go figure.

Louisville Courier Journal supplies the LIT ratings. Louisville Desales played a bunch of Louisville schools. Any questions?:eek:

I didn't mean this year, I meant historically. Those two go back and forth each year. Beechwood won this year, but they aren't that different. Again, with that being said, I still have to give Mayfield the nod.

I've seen years where NCC didn't exactly look the part of a state champion thru out the season only to see them look like juggernauts at state and dominate..
