Well my prediction for the game is SW28 JC 6

Seeing the game plan to beat Shelby was excellent and the kids executed that plan.

I will give JC a late score.

To beat SW you must be able to have a passing game and running game. Don't see JC having that.

Good luck to both teams.

I know, right...Isn't it a shame that Johnson Central doesn't have a QB/Receiver combo capable of completing a pass?

If only the Golden Eagles' passing attack was as potent as South Warren's.

Oh...wait...

The Golden Eagles are averaging more yards per game through the air. Their leading receiver has more than twice the amount of total yards this year than any SW receiver.

Factor in that SW has played one more game as a team and that Workman sat out two games due to injury and I would argue that JC's passing game is better than SW's. It's definitely more efficient.

That isn't even close the passing game I was speaking of. I am talking about a team like highlands that JC saw way too much of. 100 yards/game doesn't count.

South Warren's ability to run or pass isn't the topic. In terms of offensive production, the teams are very similar. But that doesn't matter. What does matter, is that South has allowed 559 yards rushing on the entire season. Which is with garbage time for the other team, which I'm sure colors Johnson Central's totals as well. But the fact remains, that's 1,200 yards less than what Johnson Central's defense allowed. Plus, Johnson Central allowed about 160 yards more through the air as well.

The point being that while their offensive numbers are similar, their defensive numbers are not. Neither had much balance in offense, but whereas Johnson Central allowed around 50% of what South did on the ground, South allowed 1/7 the amount. Who cares if Johnson Central threw for as much as South? Is that going to make it any easier for them to run at them? South's rush D is SIGNIFICANTLY better than Johnson Central's. What you're going to see is that South will be able to do enough on the ground against JC while the inverse is not likely to be true.

DRAGONFIRE is right on with this post.

T2t what kind of passing game did you see last Friday in the 2nd quarter?

I think JC's passing game will make it easier to run on SW. EASIER not EASY. This is not the same Johnson Central attack that teams have seen in the past and I really hope that SW comes into this game thinking that all they have to do is stop the run.

SW will be the best team JC has faced so far and I believe JC will be the best team SW has faced this season. I disagree with the assertion that SW defense is "SIGNIFICANTLY" better. But, I will find out Sunday night if that is the case.

Good luck to SW. See you in Bowling Green.

I said after game it was better than I thought, you just don't have to throw it. Heck,I would use it at 40 to 50% of time

Can JC throw it for 250 yards?

I would say they have the ability. They have a thousand yard passer - Bryce Workman. Johnson Central has a more capable passing attack then many may think.

well to win IMO they will have to throw it for at least 250 and run for over 100.

I got no dog in this fight but just my thoughts.

Good Luck to JC. These kids and Coach Matney deserve this win. The whole community does. This Tomcat is pulling for the Golden Eagles.

South Warren has 4 of the most underrated DB's in the State.... A team doesn't post the defensive stats they have by "only" having a good Defensive Line! Passing will not be as easy as you think!

I don't think it will be easy. But I also don't think SW will be able to stack the box either.
