They earned the right to play they, not gifted it. They've earned to be treated with respect, as opposed to wedged into a time slot that even fans of the team can't make. Step up and move the game. Easy for you. Let's move to BG game to NKy at 7 on Thursday. And you are wrong. I stayed for every game last year, and my team wasn't in it. That's the fun part of it, to get to see other teams that you don't get to see. And players like it too.

That works for me. I live in Danville, KY not BG. If the BG game is moved to Thursday I'll be there because I am off of work that day. They can move it to Paducah. I'll be there on Thursday. Unfortunately I have to work Saturday evening so I can't make the BG/Pulaski County game. So please, for me, move the BG game to Thursday so I can be accommodated. That would be awesome.

That's on their parents. My kid wouldn't be making that drive. I'd be doing the driving or they'd ride the pep bus.

This sounds a lot like the I'm offended by everything folks that want all the laws and rules changed because it is offensive to them. If sports teaches us anything it's that things don't always go as expected and its those who adjust the best who are the most successful.

I think the KHSAA has made a tough decision to deal with a challenging situation. Like all decisions, someone is not going to be happy. If I am in KHSAA shoes, I make the same decision by playing 1A on Thursday. As Spock would say "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few".

So is it the midnight driving or drinking and drugs that is the issue? The game being on any day of the week won't stop kids from driving drunk or high if they are going to do so. And the bigger issue is kids drinking or using drugs before driving, not the game being on a Thursday night.

If I remember correctly this was one reason the State Championship games were moved from Papa John in Louisville to Bowling Green, because U of L could not guarantee the KHSAA would have access to the field for Friday and Saturday of the first weekend in December, this was when U of L was in the Big East. Now because of WKU season and hosting a championship game we are faced with a schedule dilemma. We could very easy move it back to Papa John with U of L being in the ACC as U of L will never host a Championship Game since the ACC plays their championship game in Charlotte. This way we will never have to face this possibility again. I attend the Championship games on the weekend and look forward to 3 games on Friday and 3 on Saturday. Now, I will not be attending the 1A game on Thursday, and I highly doubt I will stay till 10-11 on Sunday to watch the 4A game. I knew I should have been rooting for Marshall the day after Thanksgiving.
