Outbid because $$. Julian has released press notifications and just released on sometime this year or last when the contract was renewed for Bowling Green. Its probably on the KHSAA website so you can go find it if you want.

Guys I'm talking about when they first left Louisville and moved to BG. The reason was Louisville at this time was in the Big East before all the realignment took place. Louisville (in the Big East, not the ACC) was having to play a game the first weekend of December, so Papa John's would not be available and BG won the initial bid to take the State Championship games. Now that WKU in the C-USA can host a championship game unlike 4 of the power 5 conference who play their Championship game at a neutral site, it maybe time to move back to Papa John's or as some has suggested move to Commonwealth. Therefore, your 1A game will get the same respect the other classes are suppose to be getting as has been stated on here. While I don't agree with this theory, it is what it is.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO we are having to play 1A on Thursday night and 2 games late Saturday Night and 3 games on Sunday instead of Friday and Saturday.

UL has been in the ACC for two years now. Why didn't they outbid WKU last negotiations? Oh....I know why. Because they didn't want the games. At all. The sooner people recognize that simple fact the sooner we can end this dead end conversation.

This sounds a lot like the I'm offended by everything folks that want all the laws and rules changed because it is offensive to them. If sports teaches us anything it's that things don't always go as expected and its those who adjust the best who are the most successful.

 

Thank you Obi Wan. I can assure you I am the farthest thing from a PC whine about everything as there is. But you forgot the main lesson that sports teaches us, that whatever makes the most money wins. Oh, and that education and work is secondary to sports, lets have two schools shut down a day and a half for a football game and have adults have to arrange a held day off. Some of us have to ask co workers to pick up our shift when we take time off. Give me the logic behind the 1a game being moved? Why not 6a? 5a? Why move the game that has the two teams traveling the farthest? If your answer doesn't involve $$$ you are wrong.

Because moving a 5 or 6A game effects more parents staff and students, therefore it would effect the amount of people that come to the larger games. Less people=Less money. Problem solved.

Where is all the outrage and concern about missed days of work and school for the Sweet 16?

@TheFauxTiger I agree the 1a game was moved for $$$ reasons. Won't argue with that one bit.
