Maybe they should just drag the regional tournaments out two weeks as well so everyone gets to throw their number 1 every game. Teams have to win three games in three games to get there but then 4 games gets dragged out over 10 days? Drag it all out and play the state championship July 4. Yes, this is a sarcastic post.

Just because it is happening this year, doesn't necessarily mean it will be possible in the future. The Legends have very little say in the way their schedule is compiled & they don't/wont guarantee the KHSAA back to back weekends @ that stadium.

I don't like it. Some of these kids pay a ton of money to play travel summer ball and this cuts in to their time as it ends in mid-late June.

It the great state of Wisconsin, they have two high school baseball seasons so a school could theoretically win two state titles in one academic year in baseball. They have Baseball Spring and Baseball Summer. The Spring season is the only one that is classed if I'm not mistaken and the Summer season takes the place of travel ball.

That is the thing I disagree with. No reason for it to not end at the same time. Give up a week somewhere else. KHSAA should be careful. There are some big time kids in this state that play big time travel ball. Midland, Evo Shield, Scorpions, etc. You start digging into that any deeper they will risk what's already happening in Florida and Texas, which is some of their very best kids are skipping HS baseball. They know where their meal ticket is, and it's not on a high school baseball field.

You think it should end when the dead period starts (meaning LATER)?

 

Or that it should end when it already does? (which will NOT be possible in the back-to-back weekend state setup)?

 

If Regions begin Memorial (Monday) Day as usual, there's no way to end it as usual and get out at the same time (unless all regions go M-T-W -- three games in three days -- and start state on Fri or Sat (which would be more taxing on pitching staffs if they played the regional final on a Wednesday and then have to play at State on the Friday or Saturday on 2-3 days rest).

No you did not, this my comments around cutting deeper into the summer season. Ending mid June way too late, my point was they should find another place in April or May to eliminate a week so they could end earlier
