Content1 Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Had just parked my car at work tonight and out of the corner of my eye saw a bright flame falling out of the sky. Because of the close proximity of my work to the airport my initial thought was that a plane was coming down. Thankfully after a closer look it was a fireball. Appeared white to gold in color and literally had blue-grey sparks emanating from the trail of it. The height of the Perseid Meteor shower was this week and this wasn't a quick streak that disappeared quickly in the sky. This object fell slowly with a lot of mass to it. One observer equaled it to a basketball dropping. I have never seen anything like it and after further internet investigation tracked down the following web site where numerous others witnessed the same from KY, IN, IL, into Mizzou! Fireball reports I'm thinking maybe an old rather large satellite that re-entered our atmosphere. Too early in the season to be the Griswalds Christmas decorations in flight! Thoughts?

ThrillVille Cardinal51 Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I'll bet that's what my fiancé saw last night. We were walking my dog around that time last night. She made a comment about seeing something that looked like a firework coming down. Bet it was the same thing!
