Disappointed.. not one bit I knew FC was not a great match for JH. I also knew at full strength or not that Spencer was going to give you the game of your lives because they are a disciplined and hard nosed ball club. I don't like to compare games but I will say that JH has not played a true option team and I think the defense will have to slow down a bit. This one won't be a walk through central park and I love the confidence in your team they are a good ball club, but this shelby team is no joke!

I wouldn't bet on the school taking a pep bus to this game. They hate spending money on this type of thing but who knows. Hope they do. Even without that bus, I am sure most of the kids who attend the games will be there. Pep buses are for those kids who really on turn out for big games.

They should travel real well.

 

Do I need to plan on getting there real early and tailgate before game time? How full was the place last Friday night? Not sure how many of the Spencer faithful was there Friday? Shelby usually draws twice the crowd of Spencer.

Shelby has not had the showing and support you would think from a 4a school Spencer sideline was packed as they brought police and firefighters and everyone in Spencer county. Very disappointed in the support of the town and school for this team!

John Hardin and its current bleacher configuration is a ticking time bomb.It is only a matter of time until there is an incident in the stands, such as a brawl, that causes the schools administration to act on placing visitor stands on the opposite side of the field.

On to the game. I have a hard time seeing John Hardin getting beat by a team that struggled and allowed 24 points to Collins. I saw Central Hardin dismantle Collins earlie this year and wasnt impressed. Shelby County losing to Franklin County also raises some eyebrows.

John is deeper, will have more athletes on the field on Friday.

If you want to compare games.. Shelby beat Spencer by 14 and you beat them by 5 are we doing math or talking about matchups. Franklin County played their best game again st Shelby County and anyone will tell you that. Regardless of the loss Shelby has struggled with pass coverage all year so the pass heavy County team was a poor mismatch for Shelby. Now let's talk about a Spencer team who runs the same offense who was held to season low rushing numbers vs Shelby. I don't think you all are looking at the matchup and more on comparing games. BTW Shelby pitched the shutout in the first game 44-0 vs Collins who also shut out Franklin 23-0 scores are irrelevant matchups matter!

There should be a bylaw requiring Home and Visitors to be seated on seperate sides of the field. Nobody should have to deal with that.

About time to quit bashing a Collins team that didn't have everyone for central Hardin and CH QB having a career night. Don't base anything off that game or even compare that to the SC game. 44-0 SC over Collins should be more if the comparison.

FC game, only loss, was played in horrible conditions and lost game in first half by not tackling. Hit themselves back in and after 2 horrible calls gave up the FG.

I will take Shelby and the 24.

Yes, Spencer traveled well that night. You forget their are 2 HS in Shelby now so crowd size for a 4A school is about right. They will travel well

Years ago they use to charge a small fee that would cover the cost of the bus and maybe even the ticket. That would be one way to get around the cost. I also wouldn't be surprised if people from Collins went. Many of their parents played for Shelby and there is a history of the playoffs going through Hardin Co
