Ok , have you seen JC or Ashland?

I think it would be a huge disappointment if they don't.

The only weakness I have seen from them is if you have a good mobile QB who can throw accurately against them. I don't see that from any of the teams left in 4A. Before anyone says Hoptown, their offensive line is terrible. SW would be to the QB before the ball gets there.

Honestly, I don't think 4A is necessarily bad. It's just that South is so much better than the rest of the field. Just waiting on the jump to 5A... Until then, I will be pulling for them to claim the championship trophy.

Is Johnson Central , Ashland, and Shelby Co really that bad?

 

I can not speak for Shelby Co as I have not seen them but Johnson Centeal and Ashland (both when healthy) are capable of beating South Warren on any given night. Now who would be the favorite that is debatable but South Warren appears to be a very good football team. Ashland and Johnson Central both are also very good football teams. If anyone of those three won state I would not be surprised. If anyone else does I will.

Shelby county?? Why would you even include them in the discussion?

Never say never but don't include Shelby as being bad. If JH and Shelby can't beat SW then nobody from the east will.

Obvious they can. The question is will? No one has made a statement as to why they should be the favorite. South Warren has to be the favorite to win this class hands down. Will they, remains to be seen.

Yes they can if they play as a team... Too many talented athletes to just focus on one or two. As long as they continue to spread the ball around to their threats at every position, they will be State Champions... They become one dimensional, and they will have a repeat of last season.

I agree with doubletake. I heard they were one demensional last year at Louisville Central, and it hurt them late in the game. I know SW has the back field . I've heard they have a couple of good receivers as well. Has anyone seen much of them this year? And are they used all that much?

Receiving Cummings, Hayes, Haynes, McElwain and a host of others they spread it around real good.

 

One note is CJ Hayes has had I think 8 TD receptions called back because of penalties (holding, false start, illegal formations etc)

If QB Ryder Litten stays healthy, I think South wins it. If he doesn't, that opens it up quite a bit.

No doubt they can run the table, they're undefeated.

Ashland has lost twice. The mighty Johnson Cenrtal got creamed by 3A Belfry. You think they are the favorites? No one in 4A is close to South Warren and I'm not a South Warren fan. John Hardin and their miracle turnarounds is the only obstacle standing in the Spartans way.
