Ashland has lost twice. The mighty Johnson Cenrtal got creamed by 3A Belfry. You think they are the favorites? No one in 4A is close to South Warren and I'm not a South Warren fan. John Hardin and their miracle turnarounds is the only obstacle standing in the Spartans way.

Receiving Cummings, Hayes, Haynes, McElwain and a host of others they spread it around real good.

 

One note is CJ Hayes has had I think 8 TD receptions called back because of penalties (holding, false start, illegal formations etc)

The other schools competing in 4A may as well call their games off, cause the experts all pick South Warren to win hands down. Lots of sad teams and fans from these other Regions, knowing South Warren has already won state.

True.... Many touches per game and has done well with them. Many kids on the team would do the same with the same amount of touches. That's why the team is so dangerous.

On thing that no one is mentioning is the special team play. Punt return team could be blocked at anytime and if you punt to Cummings then you are gonna pay because of a great return. Same could be said of kickoff return Cummings and Lacey have broken them for great returns and are dangerous to break them at anytime.

 

Kickoff and punt teams play very well as well.

While I agree that both teams lost and that South Warren should be the favorite if South Warren sleeps on JC or Ashland either one they will have a repeat of last year. Both teams are more than capable of beating South Warren in a 1 game series.

Most teams don't sleep on a team in the state title game.

I think the one thing that S. Warren has going for them that the rest don't is experience in the Semi final and final games. It is hard for a team to get to that stage that doesn't have the experience doing so.

What is scary for other teams SW will face they still haven't played their best game on offense and they seemed at practice to be very focused on a mediocre Allen county team a time when you think they may get a little lazy

They played pretty well on offense against John Hardin. I don't think their coach will allow them to get lazy. I really like this Allen County-Scottsville squad, as they have had a very solid year, but they are overmatched here by quite a bit.
