Do You Ever Have Terrible Sports Weekends?

Featured Replies

Do you ever have sports weekends where everything just goes wrong?

I usually head to Monday feeling pretty decent about my sports weekend but occasionally have a weekend like this one...and it's miserable.

This weekend alone...Kentucky got embarrassed, the 49ers lost yet again, I didn't win a single dollar at the Breeder's Cup, my favorite NASCAR driver was intentionally wrecked, my fantasy team is going to lose for the first time this season because Eli Manning manages to score 62 points against me, I picked up Reggie Bush to replace the injured Carlos Hyde and Bush immediately destroyed his knee before he scored any fantasy points.

From top to bottom, this has been a miserable sports week.

The only saving grace is that Michigan managed to get a win and Morehead State won their game. Most importantly, I actually got to attend the Breeder's Cup with my kids, which is what really matters anyways.

Oh well...on to next week. I was just curious if others have weekends like this as well?

I root for Greenup Co., UK, and the Browns. My weekends are bad, more often than not.

That's depressing. Most folks up your way adopt OSU football to help soften the blow.

To quote Batty Koda from Fern Gully: "I'd rather suck wax fruit". :puke:

I'm a Kentucky & Bengals fan, so the answer is obviously yes. Most weekends, in fact (although not as much recently).

The CWF household football weekends can be pretty rough.

UK & Illinois

Bears & Browns

Yes! Next week will be better!

I'd say losing the star RB from my fave team for the season compounded with all the other losses to injury would constitute a bad weekend for me

I've had plenty of bad weekends. Now this weekend is a different story. My fantasy teams both knocked off the #1 teams in the league. I also do a contest where you pick all the games using the spread. I'm at 11-2 for the week and tonight's outcome does not matter. It's the second time this year I've won. 100 bucks to win each week and now have a 3 game lead for the big year end payout.

Who Dey!

Boone Co football and Cleveland Browns fan -- I think I said enough.

My fall season's normally consist of Nebraska wins and Bengal losses. This season, well, the script has flipped.

I'm also an avid Sixers' fan, so how do you think that has gone in the post-Iverson era? Thank goodness (usually) for Xavier November - March.

I used to. But I don't live and die with sports teams like I did say, 20 years ago.

Don't get me wrong. I still love to attend/watch sports of all sports. Just not emotionally invested like I was back in the day.

He was an ornery cuss. But to his credit, gave me the inside dope on Coca-Cola stock.
