Brandon Hatton to KWC

Featured Replies

Hearing that Brandon Hatton has found a new home in Kentucky Wesleyan University. Honestly surprised he didn't end up at an NKU, EKU, or WKU team but nevertheless. Congrats Brandon!

My guess is lack of interest at those 3 is why he didn't end up there.

KWC is probably a good fit for him.

You're assuming he had offers to go to one of those places...

Yes. assuming he did. Would have been a nice fit at NKU. Very comparable to Pearsons (sp.?) who recently transferred. But KWC has a great coach and a great tradition with a lot of great players on the roster. Definitely will make an immediate impact there.

He got minutes last year. Did he get a release or will he have to sit a year?

If I am correct, when you step down a division (D1->D2) you are eligible immediately.

Pretty sure that is correct.

Will he enroll for the spring semester and be eligible at Christmas?

Honestly couldn't give you an answer on that.

I can tell you one of those three had some off-the-court, NON CHARACTER, issues that kept them from offering.

Happy for him, hope he makes the most of it.

Owensboro is much closer than Vermont. If he decides he doesn't want to play basketball he could slide over to football or baseball.

You are correct, which might be why a D-II school like KWC might seem like a good choice for him.

Should enroll and be eligible after Christmas from what I've heard.

Happy felt good about getting him a few weeks ago. This is a good get and he will be a good fit if he's willing to work hard
