Boyle's staff did their kids a disservice then not playing and settling for a Conference Title.

 

That's like Boyle HS choosing not to play for a 3A Title because they win a District Title and finish ranked #1 in the CKY Power Rankings

 

I don't know that i would call it a disservice........everybody has their opinions. I would much rather talk about High School Championships instead of Middle School Championships so until all these kids graduate from high school it doesn't really matter. As far as the staff, i think their record speaks for itself.

No it's not.

 

This is not a KHSAA sanctioned "state championship"...it's a great tourney but in our coaches mind it's asking too much of our kids to play multiple games a week for 3+ weeks.

 

In speaking with some Anderson Co parents recently...they agreed.

Belfrys staff speaks for itself as well and the fact is this Junior class at Belfry was the state champs and parlayed that directly into on field success.

 

It's easy for Boyle fans to say "we could beat them" when they don't play them.

I didn't say anything about Belfry's staff, I made a comment about Boyle's staff. I definitely think Belfry has a good staff and you don't see me on here making any comments about them, right?! I also didn't say whether Boyle Middle could beat Belfry Middle because i haven't seen them play. You took up for your staff just like I did. I don't personally care who won what as far as middle school goes and that goes for our Middle School winning their conference. It doesn't translate to a High School state championship. Kids move in and out because of parents jobs, kids decide to focus on one sport a whole lot changes in High School. Best of luck to you and your team.

When does Union play this weekend?

 

They played on Saturday evening and lost to a very good Bowling Green team. Nice two year run for the 8th grade class. They were 23-4 over the two seasons, making the final four in the state both years and playing for a state title as 7th graders. They played a very tough schedule as well, playing teams from all over Ky, Eastern Indiana and Southern Ohio.

After seeing Belfry today I gotta say I don't think they could handle Boyle Co.

 

Please remember...you saw Belfry less than 100%. First string tailback, fullback, Center, Middle Linebacker and Defensive End all did not play. Believe me....at full strength....they're a different animal
