Semi Finals Game Schedule

SEMI FINALS @ BRYAN STATION HIGH SCHOOL (eastern Time)

Region 2 & Region 3 teams are Home teams for Semi Finals

Time Class Visitor (Light Colors) Home (Dark Colors)

8:00am 8th D2 BELFRY vs TAYLOR COUNTY

9:30am 8th D2 TK STONE vs SOUTH OLDHAM

11:00am 8th D3 PIKEVILLE vs SOMERSET MEECE

12:30pm 8th D3 MAYFIELD vs CAL

2:30pm 7th BOWLING GREEN vs CAL

4:00pm 7th NORTHERN PULASKI vs CROSBY

5:30pm 8th D1 BOWLING GREEN vs UNION RAIDERS

7:00pm 8th D1 JOHNSON COUNTY vs MEADE COUNTY

Johnson County will win D1 8th Grade and Belfry will win D2 8th Grade. The rest should be competitive but these two classes likely wont be. If my prediction holds that will make 4 State Championships for Johnson County and I think the same amount (maybe more) for Belfry.

Same amount. All 3 of Belfry's so far have been 8th grade and 2 of Johnson's 3 thus far have been 7th. Not that it matters.

Would love to have seen Boyle Co and Belfry 8th grade teams play this year.

Both great programs in middle school and it is no surprise both high schools are reaping the rewards. Your correct on the two 7th grade vs. one 8th for JC. I dont know about any other schools, but JC has never played 7th graders up. I know some schools do in order to compete (smaller student body / really good players who need better competition) so this might affect their 7th grade outcomes.

Correct me if Im wrong, but I also believe every 7th grade champion has also repeated as an 8th grade champion thus far. JC's current 8th grade won the state as 7th graders.

So combine:

Belfry - 3 state titles (All 8th grade)

JC - 3 state titles (1 8th grade: 2 7th grade)

Does any school other than these two have 3 or more across both grade levels and divisions?

Would be an awesome game. have seen both. Both are extremely talented. From what I understand...Belfry is banged up going into this weekend.

Us too...Smith for Boyle has been out for a month.

Will games (at least final game) of 8th grade have a video stream?

So your saying no matter the winner of the Bowling Green vs. Union Raiders have a chance against Johnson County 8th Grade. From what I am hearing they both have an amazing backfield. Plus to have have two great backs they have to have good O-Line in front of them. So would say I both of those teams have a chance.

Southwestern Pulaski has 3 - 2 8th grade and 1 7th

Meece, CAL, Bowling Green, and Northern Pulaski are going for their 3rd

Corbin was the first to 4 as they got their last year. Should be interesting to see who is the first to 5.

Great info! Thanks for the update!

Never said there was no chance. The Tisdale kid from BG is something else via his highlight tapes (all i have seen - no one ever looks bad on highlight tapes though). Nonetheless the kid looks like a very special athlete and I am excited to see how he develops.

The Rice kid from JC is a very special back himself. Runs a 4.6 40 right now and had 400 yards last year in the KY all star 7th grade game (MVP). He can also dunk a basketball, not very good albeit and played major varsity time on the Baseball team last year (finished Regional Runner-up). I just think JC's power on a whole will be too much. I like JC by 14-21, but it dosent really matter what I think, the kids are the ones who will decide the outcome. I hope all come out injury free and everyone has luck with hotels and safe travel.

They usually are. Cant remember the web address though.

I am fairly close to the Purples program. Little Vito Tisdale, current 8th grader, is real deal. So far, he has been best player on field about everytime he has played. Very special. This is his third year on the 8th grade team. Really has it all. Lots of potential to be a great one. Should be fun games to watch.
