I believe that Brycen caught 3 TD passes. Ryle did not score until there were just 5 mins. to go to avoid the shutout. Nice game for the birds.

 

Yes correct, 2 long TD catches and a beautiful diving grab near the pylon in tge 2nd half.

For the very reasons I mentioned above.

 

When your down 20- with your offense apparently struggling- in a game already shortened by smaller quarters- trying to give your offense a short field and a jolt of energy.

Wouldn't be afraid to do the same thing. Not a big decision at any level.

300 yards passing in a Freshman game? I wish I played now instead of when I did.

I know the Ryle freshman coaches are eager to get their hands on this group. They have performed at a really high level the last two years.

Question to Highlands fans whom may know, I'm curious to know if Huddelston will play Frosh ball again or will they move him up. Play Frosh and JV maybe?

I just think that with an entire half of football left to play it sends a bad message to your team. That you feel that at that early point you need a gimmick play for them to succeed. Just my opinion, I understand if you see it differently.

My bet is that he plays frosh ball again. Rarely and I do mean very rarely does a frosh player play up unless they are a QB.

Well Highlands just had a bunch of studs born in fort Thomas so watch out in 14 years.

Yeah it's easy to talk trash when you Beat a 1/3 of the Fort Thomas Jr Football 8th grade players. Congrats, what are you guys like 1-1 against the FTJFL? A loss to the Blue(1/3) in 2014 and a pretty decisive win against the Black(1/3) in 2015. Why do I keep saying a 1/3? That's because it's exactly what it is. This year's Highlands Frosh team is a example of when you combine all the FTJFL 8th players and play as 1 team.

 

The same will happen next year with a pretty darn talented 8th grade class. Should be for some very good games and match ups in the coming years between HHS & Ryle but not a Dismantling like you are Assuming. Just ask Campbell how that worked out so far this year of using a Loaded 8th grade team and beating up on 7 FTJFL 8th graders in 2014. I think Campbell had the running clock on the FTJFL(Blue) in the 2nd quarter last year. Combine all of the 8th graders in the FTJFL and it's a different story. I suggest that you use the term Humbling for a while and enjoy you sons success. It may not last forever!
