I believe former HHS player Kevin Siple coaches Grant County, correct?? Has to be strange for him to coach against HHS.

Someone told me Highlands is struggling kicking field goals lately?

Not struggling kicking them at all....:sarcastic:

But thanks for bringing up the HHS kicking game. This is the one aspect of the game that is their biggest advantage. Kick offs into the end zone, punts that are long and high, and the threat of 3 points from 40+ yards away.

I think UKFan was talking about what the announcers said during the game Sat. The announcers said something like HHS was 3 for 8? Or something like that for FG's with 2 misses Sat.

I'd still take HHS kickers leg over anyone else in NKY

I don't remember which one it was, but I heard them say either 3-9 or 3 out of 9.

Just because they said it on TV it must be true right?

Well, they should have the stats. If they were not correct, then where is HHS on FG's this year if it's not 3 out of 9 or 3 and 9?

Sorry, but I don't keep track of kickers every week, Highlands doesn't have the stats on Maxpreps and I have no idea where they are kept so I can only go off of what was said on TV was all. All I do know is he missed 2 FG's Saturday, so whether he was 50 for 50 going into Saturday or not doesn't really matter.

Again, I'd take him out of anyone in NKY as a kicker anyway. Great leg. I'd rather use that leg on kickoffs and punts anyway.

All wrong, but keep trying.

What is JD on FG's this year? The announcer (not Pic but the other guy) said he was 3-8 before the first one against CCH. He missed 2 in that game so IF the guy was correct, he is now 3-10. However, the announcer made a bunch of other mistakes I noticed so he could have been wrong on this too. Anyone know what JD is for FG's this year?? The kid has a VERY strong leg on kickoffs.

Running clock.

Do you guys realize what happens when a team attempts a 50 yd field goal in high school and it is missed??

It is placed at the 20. No different than a punt into the end zone. The misses that Jared has this year are FG's that most other HS teams would not even attempt. They would just punt.

Again, this is the one part of the game that HHS has an advantage over every team they play no matter how you try and spin the numbers.

SK game 1/1

Dixie 2/4

CovCath 0/2

Add Campbell County 1/1

Add Ryle 1/1

Two misses against Dixie were from 52 and 56 yards respectively. Each had the distance. First miss on Saturday was a result of misreading the wind. Second was simply a bad hit.

Not sure what other kids in NKY and/or state do on PAT and FG's, but Jared does not use a tee since it is not allowed in college. Did use a tee at Cooper because of the surface and will likely use what at Boone as well.

Has not missed a PAT attempt all year and I believe only 7 total over the last 3 years. Touchback percentage is probably somewhere around 90% or so. Punting has greatly improved since last year and over the course of this year.

And no he does not play soccer, but is a football player.

Will be attending the UC/UCONN game this weekend.

Hopefully that answers everyone's questions and focus can now be placed on the Braves of Grant County and the TEAM at Highlands High School. It is senior night where players, cheerleaders, band members and dance team members will be honored.
