I long for the day when there is a Highlands thread and Cooper's name is not brought into it. Why does that keep happening? :banghead:

I'm with you, and notice I wasn't the one who brought up the C team. Actually I never mentioned them in any of my posts again in here. Seems it's Highlands fans who seem to be infatuated with that other team.

The Field General takes care of that for us.

And yet another time you have been wrong. You are batting 1.000

The Braves are a good group of young men. I witnessed this first hand Friday night against Dixie Heights. I chuckle when folks get "yoked up" on this threads making plans for the playoffs and assuming seeds when there's a week of district play remaining.

Interesting message some are sending! I'm not thinking the Braves are going to cave and this game will be a lot closer than most believe....and what the heck....

Go Braves, one play at a time boys!!!

Birds win this easy, hope they gain momentum heading into the playoffs

And what is the message that some are sending? The seedings for the district are set except for the 2nd and 3rd place teams which will be decided between your Red Colonels and the Blue Colonels.

Believe it when I say that the coaches and kids at Highlands are not looking beyond the game this week with Grant County. My understanding that HUDL films were out Saturday night for this weeks game. Don't be drawn in to what some fans of the team and others are trying to stir up.

It is senior night at Highlands and I am pretty sure that the kids will be pretty juiced up and ready to play the next game on their schedule.

GC is going to come out ready to play. If the Blue Birds are able to go up by 2 or 3 scores in the first half, game over. If the Birds let them hang around, I would not be surprised if the Braves pulled the upset.

That's what im afraid of... them hanging around and the birds making some really bad mistakes and getting down on themselves and leaving the door open. It could happen.... I think the birds roll at home though.

Highlands has the district title and when they win this game it will convince at least 2 of their fans that they will win state this year. :sneaky:

Boy, that would be pretty awesome if they take state, huh?

Yeah that would be movie worthy almost

Highlands takes this one with little to worry about. GC is improving but they just aren't there yet. Best of luck to the Birds!

NewCath already wrote that script. They also had a sequel.

Hopefully Grant can keep it close. There battling numerous injuries. If there offensive line comes ready to play then they should keep within a couple of scores. There line is what kept them from getting a win over Dixie, well several missed tackles too.

Birds need to come out and play hard.

I'm just impressed with how many points GC is putting up this year. I know Dixie is down and all but in years past GC would be lucky to out up 10 Pts in district games.
