Is he a Kentucky fan? Would love to see Kentucky give him an offer.

Big UK fan. I would love to see him there myself and wish they would pull the trigger on him. That would put two JC players in the UK program!!

Love to see kids from our area in Blue. I hear he's s great kid too. Wish him well.

This Ashland team is miles better than the one last year, but are still a bit one dimensional but that one dimension can be extremely effective. I think this one is a toss up because of Baker, and if Ashland wants a win in this series anytime soon it has to be this year unless Matney heads elsewhere.

Bigger game than most in the state are aware of.

I really thought this could be the year that Ashland pulls it off, but Ashland struggled at times against Raceland's down the field verticle passing routes and again against George Washington. Neither of those two teams were able to move the ball consistantly on the ground. JC will be aboe to do that. I want to see Ashland pull it off, but idk. I do think its closer than people will think.

It takes Johnson Central 4 quarters to put the Cats away, but...

Johnson Central 35

Ashland 21

No secret what Ashland wants to do. This game will fall on the Ashland D to limit JCs scoring chances and getting Ashlands offense the ball. I think Baker will carry 30 plus times in this game. He will break 8 plus of those and more then likely 3 or 4 to the house. Teams can stop Baker for a quarter or 2 but eventually he is going to get loose.

I put Johnson Central as about a td favorite. Ashland does have the best individual player in the game and has played a tougher schedule with a win better than JC's best win.

Jay Layne should play huge boost to the DL. Burgess should play huge boost to the OL. Thomas kid is eligible and should start DB and however they decide to use him on Offense. Also think you will see Brown Baker and Roberts together in the backfield.

Who is the Thomas kid? Glad to hear Layne will be back. Shout out to Marcus Daniels though for his play starting for the injured Layne. Marcus really impressed me the last two games.

#21 transfer from the Wood had to sit until this week. Kid built in same mode as Brown Baker and can fly. Be interesting to see how they use him. Know he will start on D.

Thanks, I remember seeing him on the sidelines early on, wondered why he wasn't playing. What year is he?

Senior and talked with him recently at East Carter. He is more then ready to play this Friday.

TCats also knew that Ratliff would start the Raceland game. I will agree that if Ashland wants a chance to win this game they have to find a way to keep JC under 20.

Stats speak for themselves. Baker leading all RBs in all categories. Baker avg 224 and 3.3 TDs/game. Brown, Dowdy, and Roberts, around 30 or 40. To have so many weapons, Ashland relies on Baker far too much, imo. They have other kids that can open their offense up a bit. This could hurt Ashland Friday.
