Putnam Stadium means 7 points in this game as the District Championship is on the line. Baker goes for 150 and both scores but has to work real hard to do it. Ashland has no answer for JC's power game and must respect the evolution of their new shotgun passing game.

Ashland is also way too undisciplined.

I'm surprised it took this long to get this thread posted, lol. Both fan bases have been foaming at the mouth with anticipation for this game for weeks. This is really the only game that matters for each of these teams on their respective schedules.

I wanna pick Ashland, I'll most likely be in attendance at this game as I will have some family from Johnson coming in and some from Ashland already here.

So lets break it down a bit (and all opinions welcome here):

 

Where is JC better and where is Ashland better? JC wins on special teams for sure (Tyler Pack is a monster and will neutralize the return game of Ashland with his kicks). Ashland has the home run hitter in Baker so RB advantage to them.

 

Where do advantages lie in the other aspects of the game in your opinion?

I think JC wins by 2-3 td's. Ashland has a lot of weapons, but the passing game still isn't there. It will be really hard to beat JC relying on the run alone. Baker will still get some long runs and td's, but it won't be enough.

 

In the poll I voted for Ashland though, my heart will not let me vote against my tcats.

Ashland takes care of the ball, hold their own in the trenches and stop getting flagged 20 times a game they have a great shot to win. Both teams will be hyped up. Mr. Conley que another great pre-game speech. Should be a War and another classic at Putnam. 28-24 TOMCATS!!!

He is a senior not sure on attempts and heard he has all kinds of walk on offers from big D1 schools but those same schools don't like giving out schollys to Kickers. I for one have no idea why they are a huge part of a teams success or failure.

Tyler can go to any school he wants, but like T-Cats said most of the big ones dont give scholarships to Freshman kickers. They ask you to red-shirt and prove yourself, then if worthy you get the full ride. He has been told by the likes of Alabama, Michigan, UK, UofL, etc. that if you wanna come kick we got a preferred spot for you and a chance to get the scholarship after the first year. Kid has a big leg and if he does get an offer straight out of high school he will likely take it.
