Bad News out of Elliott County

Featured Replies

Just got a phone from a friend in Elliott County who said Evan Faulkner broke his leg at practice today & it looks to be a very bad break. That is all I know at this time so please keep him in your prayers.

Prayers from here in Clark Co.....hate to hear this...keep us posted.:thumb:

I hate to hear that. This young man is a great basketball player. I remember him as an 8th grader when his team won our invitational tournament. Hopefully he will heal quickly and be read to play later this season.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery to the young man. Hate to hear this happen.

Prayers going out for Evan.

That is a tough break for a great kid, my bet is his recovery time will be quicker than the Doctor predicts, he will rehab hard (like he plays)

Get Well Soon Evan

Prayer's well be heard for you from lot's of "REAL" friend's. Get well soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Evan goes Monday to the doctor to see if surgery is needed.

Prayers are with Evan from Morgan County. He is a terrific kid, player, and competitor. I wish him all the best in the world and a speedy recovery.

Hang in their Evan.

I heard about this earlier today, and was not near a computer.

I echo everything Shooterx3 posted above. Ethan and Evan are both outstanding competitors, and fine young men. It breaks my heart to learn that a thoroughbred is going to be out of the race for a while.

I bet he'll be back in shape and ready to roll before the season starts... :thumb:

Drink lots of milk and get well soon Evan! :thumb:

The Faulkner boys are tough kids with great attitudes. Evan, stay positive and work hard to get back on the court. Sometimes adversity makes a person stronger.

I just got a call and they said Evan will be having surgery on June 22nd. The doctor said that after surgery for the first 4 weeks he cant have any weight on it. After 6 weeks he will be able to jog and after 8 weeks he will be able to start back at practice. Alot better report than what most though here in Sandy Hook.

Sounds like his new nickname should be "Barbaro".

PS - at his age, he should heal nicely, and be back on the court before you know it. :thumb:

What type of injury was it?

The tibia bone is broke, which is the second biggest bone in your leg. It is right above the ankle joint.
