Miami @ Florida State Predictions and Game Time

Featured Replies

Seems like the FSU/Miami game this weekend is the college gameday game and is at 8:00 PM on ABC this week. Who do you think wins and why?

I like FSU, at home, to take care of business by about 14-17 points.

FSU - 24

Miami - 10

I'll be honest...battles of Florida have always been some of my favorite games to watch. Love a good Miami vs. FSU or Florida game.

That is not nor was it in consideration for College Gameday. They are going to Salt Lake City for the Utah/Cal game. Miami screwed that up by being mediocre again and losing to Cincy.

FSU had a few injuries on Saturday that might change things up. None are bigger than Dalvin Cook being day to day with a hammy, but Nate Andrews and Terrence Smith are significant on the defensive side. I think FSU is still better, but it's not out of the realm of possibility that Miami gets this one. I think at the very least FSU won't win impressively, and may continue their slide down the polls despite the wins.

FSU is not as good as everyone thinks this year. I think they are a 10 point favorite right now. I'll be surprised if they cover the spread of if they lose. Miami losing to Cincy gives me pause about them but I halfway expect them to beat FSU.

Not a chance in hell.

Yeah, Miami just sucks...well I hate them at least so I always think they are going to get drilled.

It's not out of the question for a blow out win. However, I don't think it will happen. They don't have the offensive fire power as the last couple of years plus with injuries. I think a 100% healthy FSU team would win by 3 scores, but that is not the case here. As long as they continue to win, I'm fine.

Rivalry game plus Golston has been a model of inconsistency. Miami is the best team they will have seen so far. FSU scored 14 against Boston College and 24 against Wake Forest. If they can get to 21 against Miami I'll be impressed.

Even when healthy this team hasn't given me the warm and fuzzies yet.

BC defensively isn't bad; that BC offense... yikes. I remember seeing they were 0-9 in pass attempts in the first half against Duke on Saturday.

The Wake game is concerning. They should've done better than that against a pretty lousy bunch of Deacons.

With Clemson and Florida the two highlights remaining on the schedule along with a handful of the less terrible teams in the league, we'll have plenty of opportunities to find out just how good they are.

The UL game is at noon. I predict a UL victory.

Oh did a couple of UofL-employed scientists figure out a way to create sure-footed, confident, 300-lb offensive linemen out of scrap aluminum and potting soil or something? Short of that, I don't see Louisville having a very good time in Tallahassee.

This use to be one of the games I looked forward to most during football season. Not so much any more. The U just hasn't held up their end of the deal lately.
