You must not have watched the same game that I did. From what I saw, Cooper should have won this game by more than 4 scores. Not to mention, the game was in a downpour. Let's look at the precious Raiders of yours. They struggled for 2 and half quarters against a team that has not even won a game yet.

Cooper was 14-7 at half time against dixie. You won by 14. We were 10-7 at the half and won by 38. That's not a very good point you attempted to make. I don't call that struggling. We played in the same weather. That's why games are four quarters long, not one or two. While using terms like "precious" usually is endearing your indignation is noticeable. After Friday you'll have one more reason to hate your neighbor.

It is all about Morgan. I see this game being like the Ryle / Cov Cath game. Ryle will struggle running the ball and Morgan will need to take the game over with the short passing game to get the win. Can Cooper's DB's press and cover the Ryle WR's?

Coopers defense will be to stout , for Ryles Offense . Marcus Watson will give Ryles line a fit .

As for TCA , I am predicting a huge night out of him. He will run ALL OVER Ryles defense . Cooper wins by 14.

Cooper has given up 89 points opposed to Ryle giving up 100, difference of 11 for Cooper.

Cooper has scored 177 opposed to Ryle scoring 267, difference of 90 for Ryle. I don't see a whole lot of difference in defenses. Big difference in offensive production though. Just some numbers to ponder over. Both defenses are averaging giving up 95 yards rushing per game.

Tough one to pick; I'm thinking Ryle by a touchdown.

Cooper by 5 TDs.

I agree about the CCH comparison, Ryle will struggle up front and have trouble moving the ball. Upfront in the trenches I think Cooper has a big advantage.

I disagree about Cooper's db's having to press to cover the Ryle receivers. IMO, pressing up on receivers is one of the dumbest things a high school defense can do! Not to mention your secondary will not be able to help in run support at all. CCH kept trying it, and they gave up two 40 yard plus TD passes on a simple slant route. I guess they thought the first one was dumb luck....well the second one was just dumb!

Cooper will not press, they will not gamble. Cooper will keep everything in front of them and they will break on the ball to try and jar it lose or prevent any yards after contact. To pass the ball effectively against Cooper, you will have to play pitch and catch all the way down the field, consistently. Cooper defensively understands that high school teams have a hard time putting long drives together throwing the ball. Plus, most high school play callers get impatient and will try to take a shot deep and they are not getting beat deep, often. In fact that deep ball has a good chance of getting picked. Playing the classic bend don't break defense keeps Cooper in games and frustrates OC's.

It will be interesting to see if Morgan & Co can be patient, efficient, and content to just move the chains. To me, this will be a major factor in determining the outcome of the game!

Cooper hasn't played 3 winless teams this year to pad their stats.

Not sure but I think you are the only one predicting Any win in this thread between us so I'm not really sure what "talking a good game" really means in this context. Also if you don't know that this would be a bet, your Ryle education really failed you. Maybe you should transfer to Cooper where the academics can help you out a little.

It's clear you struggle with the simplest of things, I understand,, you're to CHICKEN, ( insert chicken sound here) to make this friendly agreement, why am I not surprised.

Are you 2?

You want a friendly agreement, or are you chicken? I will pm you since BETTING is not allowed on the site.

To be fair though, you'd really have to look at common opponents to get a better feel on both teams defenses and offenses. Offense Ryle is better and I'd say that all season long. The 3 headed running attack is pretty tough to stop. With that said, common opponent would be Lexington Catholic who Ryle I believed hung 50+ on them, cooper only hung 35 on them. But the big difference is defense. I believe Lexington Catholic Hung 30+ on Ryle while Cooper shut them out.

Should be a great game.

Again, you have no clue what you are talking about. Cooper won by 28. And I do not have any hatred for Ryle, I think they are a talented team and are doing a fine job. I like when both teams from Union are killing it. But I use the term precious because you all think that you are on a different level than everyone else. This was the same attitude you took into last years football game and you lost that game as well.

You can try and misconstrue my words all you want but at the end of the day these are two good football teams playing against each other. It is a game that will be fun to watch as both teams strengths are matching up together. Cooper's strong D that is very stingy on the run and doesn't USUALLY give up the big plays against Ryle's balanced attack on Offense. I am really looking forward to this game and hate that some people live on their pedestal on here and make it less enjoyable to discuss the match-up.

Good comments. The bold is exactly what will happen if they don't play up on receivers. Morgan is smart and accurate. Give him those 5 yard pitch and catch plays and it will be the easy for Morgan and co.

See now these are the posts that I LOVE. Someone that is actually willing to talk about keys to the game. Not who will win because the other team sucks. I do agree with the idea of Morgan winning/losing this game. Cooper has always been a tough team to run against and I think this year is no exception. I know it was raining but Morgan struggled at time throwing the short stuff, and I think that could put them in 2nd and 3rd and long situations which is tough on any offense. If Morgan is firing on all cylinders their offense is VERY tough to stop.

I think one of the best things that Cooper's offense can do this week is to be that team that puts some drives together and chews up some clock. Grind it out, give it to TCA 25 times and beat on Ryle's D. For Ryle, I think it is going to be about the big play. In the past Ryle has shown quite a few trick plays, which I wouldn't be surprised to see again early in this game Friday night.

It is at Cooper, so you know it will be either muddy or wet, and I believe they are calling for rain on Friday last time I checked. That could be a difference maker as well. I could talk about this all day, I am just ready for Friday to get here!!
