October 5, 201510 yr At Krogers you cant, because if you dont watch the screen, you will get overcharged on everything you buy. Kroger has one of the least accurate systems I have ever seen. If you dont watch how much items are ringing up, you are getting screwed big time. I use the Scan as You Go feature so I see what is being charged at the moment I put it in my cart. I also bag everything myself so no problems there either! I love this feature!!!

October 5, 201510 yr What is Scan as you go? You pick up a scanner when you walk in and scan the bar codes of the products as you shop. Bring your own bags and bag the items yourself as you shop also. The scanner tells you the price of the item as well as gives you a running total. When you get to the checkout, you just scan the bar code on the self checkout line, your order pops up on the screen, gives you any discounts you've earned from digital coupons or deals, you pay and you are out of there! Maybe not every Kroger has this feature yet? I use the Crossroads Kroger in Cold Spring.

October 6, 201510 yr I can't say this "sets me off," but I get annoyed every time I watch a football game on television and there is an obvious incomplete pass or ball fumbled well after the whistle, but a defender scoops it up like it is live and starts running back the ball. Told a teen once a few years back that in McDs in Winchester that if I heard one more profane word exit his mouth in the presence of my 6yo that I'd run him up out of this McDonalds without use of the door. He left and the manager gave me my meal for free.
