Some school systems tend to use this word when it fits their agenda. When facts are known the tax payers need to be told.

Could it get worse for Boone?

How many students do they average per grade at Boone County?

 

Not sure what it is exactly now, but when I graduated in 2004, we had right about 300 in my senior class. Each class behind us was a little bigger as they got younger.

 

They average 300-330 per class, total enrollment just above 1300.

 

And according to this link the four year average for grades 9 thru 12 at Boone County is 726.25.

Just looked at the link provided by theguru. The 726.25 4-yr average of # of students is the average of male students in grades 9-12 over those four years. So, assuming an equal number of female students, total enrollment would be around 1,400 students at Boone County H. S.

 

For comparison purposes: Cooper averages 576.25 male students in 4 grades.

Ryle averages 858.5 male students.

Conner averages 650 male students.

My daughter is a student there. According to the student body rumor mill (obviously not the most reliable) it was an investigation regarding missing school funds. However, Mr. Raleigh returned to school today.

I have always admired George Floyd. He was my old basketball coach at Bellevue. I am glad that this was not about him.

 

My daughter got herself into some trouble her Freshman year. Mr. Floyd called me to the school. Overall he seemed like a wonderful person. I appreciated his sincerity to me as a parent and the way he still treated my daughter with respect even when she was in the wrong.

Not many out there that a better man than Coach Floyd.

I guess that depends on what you say and who you say it to.

I believe the school should have announced something to keep the rumor mill from churning. A principal being escorted from the premises warrants some type of communication. Clearly, some things have been agreed upon or his name has been cleared with his return to school. I am glad for both Mr. Raleigh and BCHS students.

 

I have never met Mr. Raleigh so I can't speak myself for his character. Never a complaint from my BCHS graduate or current student there.

I'm pretty sure if I go tell my boss what I think and say it the way I want, I will be escorted out of the building. I think I will bite my tongue.
