Who doesn't like Al Bundy?? :idunno:

Also got beat in the semis in 2008.

Please Commander. I had successfully buried that game. :lol2:

Again that's great stats, but again reading all the posted thread, sounds like head to head match up.... especially the last couple of season and who has won district and regional. I mean that what I am reading.

2014: Lex Cath won both District and Region

2013: Boyle won District and Lex Cath won the Region

2012: Lex Cath won both District and Region

2011: Lex Cath won both District and Region

There are the last four years.

Go back four more and you have:

2010: Boyle won District and Region

2009: Boyle won District and Region

2008: Boyle won District and Region

2007: Lex Cath won District and Region

...

What's the breakdown while Smith has been Head Coach?

Actually if you were to read previous comments this started as a head to head vs chuck smith led teams and until last year he wasn't around. So when replying to your question on elaborating I believe dozer 7 was going back to chuck smith days prior to his coming back. Given the fact that it started as such I want to also state that catholic is 0 for years beating chuck smith led team when either cath or bc won a title.

You're going to be so pretty in that Boyle tee shirt.

Will you give him a milk jug shaker as well?

I'm going to go off of memory:

I don't believe the two played until 1997.

1997: Boyle beat LC in the regular season

1998: LC beat Boyle in the season and in the playoffs

1999: Boyle beat the Knights in both season and playoffs (Only losses for LC)

2000: Boyle beat the Knights in both season and playoffs (Only losses for LC)

Did not play again until:

2004: Lex Cath beat Boyle by 1 point in season opener.

Did not play a Chuck Smith team again until last year.

2014: LC beat Boyle in both season and playoffs

If there is one thing that seems to make Rebel fans believe in themselves more than ever it is that not only is Smith back in charge but this is the first year of having Pardue back as OC (Smith's partner in crime from days of yore)

Thank you Sir for clarifying. I am not a math major, but looks like pretty closely even.

5-5

I would give the benefit of the doubt to Boyle by the slightest of edges based on the fact the two losses last years were "inherited" talent for Smith and not a full year of his handy work.

With that said, for either side to claim superiority based on Smith's coaching is stretching it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but as it stands just chuck smith coached teams are 4-5 vs Catholic. If you 1998 to present when I assume they started playing each other the rivalry stands at 11-11 all time match ups. That 4-5 counts last year catholic winning both times.

At the same time, LexCath never faced Chuck when he had the regime at its highest point. No fault of anyone. Just facts.

With the exception of 2013 weren't all of the region final games against one another in the playoffs?

Now that last 4-5 post are excellent. That's what I was talking about. Just head to head match up. No Chuckie reference, no who won more district, regional or finals... Just good ole head to head rivalry. God bless to all and the rest of the season. Play injury free and we will see you all on 10-16-2016...

Head to Head is 11-11. Smith only is 5-5 they also played in 1997 with a Boyle win. So its a dead even Match.
