This is the attitude that Stoops is trying to put in the past. Its so easy to go there every time something bad happens. I wish people would stop saying that and let it go and try to build.

I would imagine that you have seen UK football for a few years now. I have a question for you. In the past ten years or so when we played a SEC opponent did it not even look like we did not belong on the field with that caliber of team? So my question is to you know is dont you think that watching last weeks game and this weeks game that "we looked like we belong"? Dont you think that is great strides forward?

Sorry but if stoops wants to put that attitude in the past then they have to do it with results on the field. Close losses or looking good in losses isn't enough.

Freddie Maggard says this is the biggest week of PT's career.

Mizzou D is tough.

I do not see losing to maybe the worst Florida team in the past 10 years with the offense never finding the endzone (running 7 plays inside the 5 yard line) as progress. I see it as UK is still UK. We can sugar coat it all we want and say the talent gap is shrinking (I believe it is) but at the end of the day we lost a game that we had chances to win and we lost because we were unable to complete passes. Part of that is play calling, but I feel the play calling is dependent on the confidence the OC has in the QB. They can make all he statements they want about "Our Guy" and what not but the play calling does not resemble confidence in the QB to me.

Dang, hit em with the Pollyanna attitude. All right then.

This one is a pick 'em.

I think UK's offense is definitely better than Mizzou's.

I think Mizzou's defense is better than UK's.

We shall see.

If UK loses this game which I don't think they will, all of what Stoops has done is erased. Mizzu is not good, it's at home, UK should win by at least 7-14 points.

I don't know about UK's offense being "definitely" better, but I do agree with you that it's a pick em.

Missouri is second-to-last in the SEC in points scored per game at 23.3. UK is 11th at 25. (The only team worse than Missouri is South Carolina)

Missouri ranks dead last in the SEC in total yards per game at 323. UK is 11th at 358.3.

Missouri also ranks dead last in the SEC in rushing yards per game at 105.6. UK is 12th at 166.6.

Missouri does rank 9th in the SEC in passing yards per game at 217.3. UK is right behind them at #10 with 191.6

Two pretty lousy offenses taking the field Saturday night in Commonwealth.

^ LSU is way out in front of the league in rushing yards per game, but dead last in passing yards per game.

^ LSU is way out in front of the league in rushing yards per game, but dead last in passing yards per game.

Two reasons they are last:

1. QB simply cannot pass

2. Why pass when you have #7 in the backfield?

Randy my man this one is in the bag.

I don't think beating a bad Mizzou team will solve the problems with this UK team. Even if they win it is less impressive than the SC win since it is at home. We (UK) are still an extremely poor offensive football team and we do not throw the football well. Beating Mizzou will not change that. Better play calling, more accurate passing, and more solid QB decisions are the only remedy.

(On a side not give me an ugly win over a pretty loss any day. Just I don't want to see another ugly loss like Florida)
