I don't think beating a bad Mizzou team will solve the problems with this UK team. Even if they win it is less impressive than the SC win since it is at home. We (UK) are still an extremely poor offensive football team and we do not throw the football well. Beating Mizzou will not change that. Better play calling' date=' more accurate passing, and more solid QB decisions are the only remedy.[/quote']

All true but it still paints a path to a bowl game.

Gotta think we see the gunslinger if Towles struggles again.

UK should win this.

I'm only six.

Just no way UK will lose this game, better coaches, better team, at home.

Does UK have a better defense?

Does UK have a better QB?

Statistically, the two teams mirror each other.

Just have faith.

Not sure I have ever been referred to as having a Polyanna view of things but if that is what you think so be it. I just refuse to live in the past, always be negative, and look at the glass half empty.

As I tried to illustrate previously I do believe that we are turning the corner (it doesnt happen overnight). You can say (although I disagree) that this is the worst Florida team in ten years, they still have on their two-deep chart of 44 players.....17 five star recruits......we have had TWO five star recruits in OUR HISTORY. I think we are recruiting and coaching better than we ever have. Did it not cross your mind when we returned USC's two point conversion into two points for us that "hey that is something that would happen to us?" well it didnt happen to us WE did it to them. I went to the game and then Sunday watched it again and I still say we finally look like we belong on the field with SEC teams. That is huge progress IMO.

So if you are still negative about the team then you dont have to go to the bowl game with us or buy season tickets but I plan to enjoy life.

Cats win in an ugly game. I think this is a defensive battle. Look like both teams will need to rely on FG kickers like last week.

UK 12

Mizzu 9

7 FG's kicked

I'll take it as long as we have 4 of the 7.

No doubt.

The progress we're all looking for becomes a reality if this team can get to a bowl game. Beating Missouri, I would think, ensures a bowl appearance.

I hope you are right. I have my doubts, or maybe I am just trying to keep from getting my hopes up to avoid a let down. Either way this game is almost a make or break game IMO.

All signs point to this being an ugly, low-scoring affair. UK's best unit is their defense, and it seems like Missouri is better than them in that department. It's hard to win when somebody is better than you at the best thing you do. Although I did watch the Tigers fail to score a single touchdown against UCONN, maybe their offense really is that bad. It definitely helps UK that the game is at home.

With that said I predict this to be a shootout because every time I think I know something about either college or pro football this year, I have been wrong.

That's the spirit, come Saturday we'll be taking laps around the farm drinking the best of 'shine celebrating this W.

(On a side not give me an ugly win over a pretty loss any day. Just I don't want to see another ugly loss like Florida)

I don't either.

What does beating a bad team do? What makes this even more interesting is if UK does lose to a bad Mizzou team this place will explode.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet. Let's stay positive and act as if UK does win.

They should by all means beat EKU but what if that game is close?

Basically this thread and the 2 QB camps should keep this place hopping all season long and I couldn't fault either camp for who they think should be the QB.

if UK does lose to a bad Mizzou team this place will explode.

A lot of fans will check out & await basketball season.

For UK to keep the momentum it has in football, I think they need to have 4 wins going into that Mississippi State game.
