11.07sec Is his record for a recorded FAT time in a meet. Which is all that really matters. I was told he ran a 10.98 at a meet in Ohio last year but it wasn't recorded FAT or something happened, not for sure. Dually noted that Q. Baker from Ashland is faster.

I believe everyone knows that Baker and Brown are fast in the 100m.

 

Anyways back to football... West Carter's QB is faster than Russell's, RB that's faster, WR that's faster, Offense lineman that's faster, LB that's faster, DB that's faster, and Defensive lineman that is also faster. West Carter has kids that can out run Russell at basically every position, so there for they have a faster team. You will see this on Friday night. Like I said previously are they more physical or better football players? That will be decided on Friday.

If the West Carter line is as fast as you say they are they will be in Russell's backfield all night long.:laugh:

When it comes down to it...Russell just has a too many weapons...containing Conley will just open up more...(Cole, Brewer, Blackburn, Ison and McKee)

I have never given West Carter much respect. By reading this thread I think I have changed my mind. I'm actually happy to see the West program improve so drastically. Sounds like they have a lot of speed. The speed did not hurt Russell in the Ashland game very much. It was that Ashland was very good on both sides of the ball and were without a doubt the better team IMO. I hope this is one of those great games we will talk about for years.

West is thin and by that they dress 40 only played 15 or 16 players against Raceland. They are a decent team but not near enough to beat Russell. Speed kills and West has some but so does Russell. Russell should win by 3 or 4 scores.

I am not sure either team will be able to hang with Belfry at home or on the road. Few EKY teams travel like the Pirates.

 

Shoot Belfry could play on the moon and somehow Pond Creek Nation would show up.

i will take the DEVILS in this one.

 

However I will say that this may be the best West Carter team they have ever had. Good to see a Carter county school be competitive.

Time for the Comets to finally get it done! I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the 2009 and 2010 games. Can't wait till tonight!

More I think about it the more this game reminds me of Russell vs Lewis County in 2011. Unlike that Lewis County team though, this West team's strong suit is their high-powered offense. That Lewis County team thrived off its defense. I do still say that Russell wins, but it won't be easy. I will say the score will be 35-32 Red Devils.

I wasn't able to watch or listen to that game, but I imagine your assessment is correct. Otherwise it would have been a close game like most Ashland/Russell games are.
