18 is Noah Roberts, and he's a very good player. Tough, hard nosed runner at fullback. There's not a coach in the state that wouldn't take the young man on their team.

 

Watch the video again. He sure doesn't show those qualities in that video. I don't want to go on about the kid. I would tell him to watch that video and work on getting better.

Ram, Times have changed since you and my dad were playing ball lol. I dont think that stuff would have flown with cosches BTR, Snyder, or Pack. Sure, BTR parked a bus on the 50 yardline at Fairview HS before the game, but better think twice before you spike his football lol

Sounds like we're nitpicking now. A kid cant raise his arm or point at his schools student section because its deemed classless by some. But a COACH can have the team bus parked inside a stadium on the 50 yard line and that's normal and OK? Now I understand.

Back up and punt bud. I for one stated I didnt have a problem with a kid celebrating. The statement was meant in fun towards Ram. Ive said numerous times that any personal interaction i have had with Q has been one that left me thinking he was a respectful, humble, and classy young man. All of this talk was started bc i was unsure of a rule change bc of some of the celebrstions I have seen this season. Not just by Q but by Raceland players and Greenup players as well. No ill intent to neone.

They have a better blocking fullback #9 but they only want to play him on defense.

I was at that game. It wasn't a horse collar. Tackled high and was brought down by the jersey around the side of the shoulder but never grabbed the back of the pads or jersey.

 

It was a great middle school game though. Very entertaining.

No. All i saw out of him at the Raceland game was a kid fired up. He got chippy a few times when Morgan Carmen blasted him for a loss(only twice or so lol), but thats just grit and passion imo. All is good JD, no harm, no foul.

In all honesty, we weren't talking about Baker, just in general terms that if we had a preference, we would prefer the players just hand the ball to the officials.

 

On a side note: Coach Ross bought a tour bus and had it painted with Raceland colors and "Raceland Rams" on the side of it. It looked great, but the bus was about to fall apart. Coach Cooksey at Fairview let us drive on the track to park the bus, Coach Ross had the bus stop on the 50 and let the players off in full uniform ready to play. The Fairview team stopped warming up and starred at us, the Fairview coaches had to start yelling at them to stop starring and warm up. To this day, I still can't believe Coach Cooksey let us drive that bus on the track and cause such a distraction.

It's all good, I just remember it being mentioned about Baker after the Ashland/Raceland game. Assumed the comment in this thread was more of the same. I do think it's crazy that Rex agreed to let Raceland to drive their bus onto the track, doesn't sound like the Rex I know hah.

Same, he really only missed a block on the first play and Baker still got into the endzone. The Goble kid (#9) would for sure clear some lanes for Baker but if you have a chance to play a kid one way only then you do it
